Dak outplayed Wentz

Wowsers.. We got the win.. celebrate but wow. Why are so many acting like this win was on Dak?!!! We smashed philly with our run game.. Zeke was a monster and that meant that we were able to keep the chains moving and allow Dak to make his little 5 yard pitches out to WRs.

Dak had zero deep plays.. zero 'big plays'... making a 10 yarder is not a big play.. you only think it is because we are so used to bad QB play.

Wentz is the far far far far better QB, but we got the win because our D was better, our RB was a stud and overall their injuries were too much in the secondary.

In Dallas there's so much incompetence hanging around people don't know who to blame. Is it Linehan, Garrett, Jerry Jones, or Dak Prescott.

In Philadelphia it's nowhere near as complicated. The team is great. The coaching is great. The front office is great. Can't score unless playing the Giants? Can't convert in the red zone? Constantly choking? It's easy to figure out who's to blame. Wentz is overrated. Simple.

Clearly you didn't watch the coverage.. I mean they literally had packages showing why Dak is bad. 4 shuffles before releasing the ball late and thus missing what should have been a wide open receiver for a 25 yard strike. The fact he stares down receivers so badly that he often misses wide open players on the other side of the field. The check downs when there is a WR on a deep slant that could possibly run in a TD. The 'fumble' when running to his left.. even though there was no need to run. The horrible, horrible series of plays near the endzone that could have resulted in us missing the second rushing TD except for Zeke making an exceptional play behind #70.

Honestly.. I am super excited we won.. it is great to beat the Eagles.. but all Daks issues were on display and that is the problem. Winning glosses over mistakes which means that they are still there when we play the better teams and we will lose. Eagles were 4-4 and struggling this season, they are not the same team that won a SB last year.

I like Foles more than Wentz. Foles was putting out lasers last SB, they were throws Wentz cannot possibly make. On the other hand Wentz cannot extend plays as he used because he totalled his knee. When your fame is based on being a big, mobile QB and all of a sudden you can't utilize all of your strength or mobility, that's a problem. Wentz isn't talented enough to survive as a pure pocket passer.

Time will tell. There are more and more Philly fans wondering if Wentz will ever be a clutch QB.

Pretty much the only person who seemingly watched the game last night.

Prescott got away with a regulation pick six in the first quarter, he missed wide open receivers especially Cooper who had separation on the key long throws which any decent QB has to make. The O-Line played very well, the running game/Zeke was off the scale, the receivers made plays, we just lack a tight end.

Further, our defense completely outplayed the Eagles' D but it makes sense as they had guys on the street playing at cornerback in the Second Half.

I agree that our defense is legit.. still prone to collapsing (see last week) and I hate our 'prevent' look.. but they are flying around and looking to make plays. You can see it building and still room for growth.

Which is what makes the struggles at QB harder to take. We have soooo many pieces but won't go far until we have a QB that can actually break open a game with passing.

Still think we probably need another CB (who doesn't) and some help with safety.. but it is getting there.

I agree. Image if Wentz had Zeke... Scary.. If we had a quarterback that could actually throw deep, defenses wouldn't know what to do. Defenses just stack the box cuz they aren't scared of Dak. That's the reason why DeMarco Murray balled out, we had Romo making the defenses think twice.

You imagine what a proper, competent NFL QB would do with that O-Line and running game supported by a legit defense who would only get more JUICED with an offense scoring 30+ points a game as they should be.

He went in and beat him. There's so much to like with Prescott. Would have hung 350 on them if we just take the training wheels off in the second half and let the guy sling it; which we never do. He always has a huge first half then we go conservative.

That said - he outplayed Wentz. Still take our guy.

He may have been spot on for Dak at times but he was ridiculously inconsistent.

Dak missed Cooper who had a step- Collinsworth- “Cooper was wide open by nfl standards and Dak just missed him. An NFL QB makes that throw.”

Wentz doesn’t even step and throws a bad pass-
