I can't find a video on it, but anyone remember LVE's demeanor after that bogus penalty he got against the Titans? Did you see how fired up he got? I pity anyone that missed it. That dude is for real.

Yup. He was trying to get the crowd fired up. He will be a locker room leader for years to come.

Dude is well on his way already to getting over 100 tackles! He didn't even play much to start the year. Didn't he miss a couple games? Next year I would like to see Lee retire then be named to the linebackers coach. He is that basically now anyway.
 
I think we almost look like Grudens Tampa team that won a title,in the way we are being built. Good, not great QB..like Brad Johnson...solid run game...solid receivers,oline, and a beastly D. We run the same defense as well. I think that's how we are built. Not flashy,but tough. Dak must make better decisions...and be more decisive this week or Atlanta will beat us. The holding on to the ball too long crap cant happen by him. Has to be on rhythm.

If Lee wants to play I say let the guy play.

Just in a limited role.

Sean Lee remaining on this football team is a good thing.

If he'll take a paycut then I want Sean Lee back.
 
the way to beat Ryan is corner blitzes and pressure up the gut. Must force his hand and not allow him time.
 
Love that the kid is looking like a star and will be a longtime fixture on the defense.

My only concern is that his success will reinforce the Front Office's recent belief that they can simply build through the draft. There's no rule against being awesome at drafting players and going out and adding talent through free agency as well.
 
People in the preseason suggested that LB was now a big strength of this team and I poo poo'd them saying we had no idea what Smith or LVE would be.

I was way wrong. Smith and LVE have grown into very good LBs and even Wilson, as the third LB with Lee out, has been effective.

LB is probably the heart and soul of the defense at this point. Amazing to think that considering how crappy our LB play was last year when Lee was out.

I'll say it again............. I think they are a good FS and another solid DL away from being a truly dominant defense. Either another DT that can collapse the pocket or another really good edge player (I just think Charlton is what he is and we still don't know what Gregory or Armstrong are).
 
we have linebackers that cover well,tackle, and have high football I.Q...ie instincts. All rare combo's and what you want in a linebacker.

The big difference is that there D took the ball away and on many occasions took it to the end zone.
 
I have a couple of friends who are Patriots fans who were furious that we took him. They wanted him pretty bad.
