Cowboys Will Likely Face Colt McCoy Next Week; Alex Smith breaks two bones in leg

Colt Mccoy is more willing to move the ball downfield and that makes me nerrvous honestly.
I was literally thinking about that while watching the game believe it or not.
I said to myself in the second quarter, I really hope Smith doesn't get hurt, because I believe their offense would be more potent with Colt Mccoy and is superior arm talent. Not that I would ever wish injury on anyone, but it honestly crossed my mind.
If we can’t beat the Commanders at home with their backup QB we don’t deserve it. Simple

Mccoy will try his best to open that offense up and they still have peterson and the worst thing we can do is have them open the offensive passing game up with peterson following behind it

The way Smith was playing, McCoy is not a downgrade. McCoy will take more deep shots.

As a Texas fan this is tough for me.. it might take me some time to not root for Colt............. ok I'm over it.

100% agree. We lost to Colt last time we played him.

And how many players are still around from that? Colt is not a good QB consistently. He can look good in small spurts but overall, he's not that great.

A win on Thanksgiving will take some pressure off when they play the Saints.

Sucks for Smith but I’d rather face McCoy.

Updated the thread title to reflect two broken bones in his leg.

Weird note .... it's 33 years to the day that Theismann broke his leg.

I remember a time we were 6-1, riding high after beating the mighty Legion of Boom in their prime at their own stadium, and then making Eli Manning stare into the sun the next week, and then had an *easy* MNF game against Colt McCoy at home against the Deadskins... 7-1, right...?

Yeah, I still think we will beat the Skins either way but I understand your skepticism, it’s definitely not out of line.

That’s just straight creepy!
Hate to see that.

Nonetheless, Colt is pretty good and beat us once, cost us home field in the playoffs.

Yes, that is an absolutely devastating injury. I could barely watch it. Absolutely gruesome.

We better not come out flat on Thursday against the Skins. If we get beat by McCoy again....... ugh.
