Do we need to draft a corner?

I wouldn't be surprised if they trade J. Lewis to move up in the draft and I would expect them to draft another corner if that's the case. He just doesn't fit in this scheme. A corner that's on the rise and would be a great addition here is Kris Boyd(Texas) but you would probably have to get him with your second round pick.
They won’t even get what they used to draft him.

Yes.

but also, get better safeties. A CB like Awuzie, who knows he going to be targeted because he plays opposite Byron, needs to know he has safety help every once in a while. Our safeties either by design or by lack- of ability, never get over in time to help.
Awuzie is about the same size as rebid. He’s 6’ and faster. There’s no reason he can’t plsy bettet

Of course we need to draft a corner. We should draft a corner every year. We should draft OL every year too.

This year was the first time since 2006 that we didn't draft a CB.

He has a 59 on PFF, which makes him average. That's how I see him. Give him Earl Thomas and that should go way up.

Awuzie lacks long speed.
4.43. Revis ran 4.5. He hasn’t gotten burned this year. He gives up plays in tight coverage mostly. The rest are in breaking routes. His long speed isn’t close to s problem. He does t press a lot and doesn’t locate the hall.

Forty times don't test long speed.

I don't specifically watch CB's, but I've noticed where it is a problem at times.

It matters for corners. It doesn’t hurt offensive players and d lineman, but corners need speed. The only ones who get buy are big corners that have the strength to hold and interfere like Sherman and Norman.

Yes, it matters. But 40 times don't test long speed. Awuzie doesn't have the greatest long speed. Citing his 40 time isn't relevant to that.

Yes, CB's need speed. Even more than that, they need lateral agility and burst out of the breaks. Awuzie has excellent lateral agility and burst, so he should be fine.

Due to his excellent quickness, some scouts thought he'd be better in the slot.

40 yards is a long distance. Awuzie ran with Julio. He had a half step, but was close enough to try and knock it loose. No o es ran away from awuzie this year. He just doesn’t find the ball.

I'm not interested in the "Nuh uh" "Uh huh" thingie. You can ask around and you'll actually find out pretty quick that 40 times are not an indication of long speed. Kind of a known fact.
