Joe Montana and the West cost offense made HOF careers out of these types of passes..i get Dak can be frustrating at time , he hold the ball too long, takes sacks and throws worm burners but you cant take those TDs and big plays away from him, its the NFL..he won we are on a 3 game win streak tied for first and have a shot..
Romo’s 2014 playoffs look good because of TWill’s YAC.

Brees is going to show how bad this defense really is.

Visions of a few years ago when the Saints werent even forced to punt once, dance in my head. im not saying they are going to be that good, but i fear Brees is going to play out of his mind good.

Why would you throw it at all if he's not in stride?
Since that's a low percentage pass, you have to spot the step to even throw it or you throw it to the shoulder close to the sidelines so only your man has a chance to catch it.
Be that as it may, Gallop had two steps on the corner. If Dak hits him in stride, it's a touchdown.
Fortunately, we didn't need it.

Because he was giving a deep ball a shot in 1 on 1 coverage. You take those opportunities at times throughout a game to keep a defense backed off or like in that situation because they were commited to stopping the run.

Gallop did not have two steps on the defender until after Dak had already released the ball. That is my point

Let's assume you're correct and Gallup didn't have two steps.
Gallop was running a go route, right? So your receiver is streaking down field and you throw behind him?
No matter how you cut it, two steps or no steps, Dak did not get the ball where his receiver should have been. And any way you cut it, that's call inaccurate.

Montana was the absolute best at that.

I can still picture him hitting Rice in stride going across the field and turning it up and off to the races. A thing of beauty...

Hated it, but it was beautiful.

As someone who's been down on Dak the past couple of seasons, I have to say, with Cooper, he seems more prone to anticipate the route and throw before he makes his break. At least, he seemed to do that tonight.

He made a made a move to get open after the ball was in the air.

Think of thowing a tennis ball at a moving moving circular target on the ground that suddely travels at different speeds. If you miss it's not because you are "inacurate". Your simply failing to predict where the target will be.

Now same target starts out slower bit then speeds up and keeps same speed. Now if you miss it would be because of "inacuracy".

Fyi, i'm not saying Dak does not need improvement on his accuracy, i'm simply saying his accuracy was not the issue on that particular play.

So far, Atlanta is not looking too bad. Besides that redzone fiasco, they look okay. Will it last, only time will tell.

The amount of Dak hate on this board is stupid. Guys act like hes a finished product, with years of elite coaching in an innovative offense.

He makes plenty of mistakes and our offense goes stagnant at times but at the end of the day hes making many more positive plays and the offense is improving.

Maybe the boo birds can settle down for a bit and quit expecting him to be Aaron Rodgers. First place is sweet in any event.
Yeah, he's not 4-5 like Rodgers either. But all good points.

He missed on 9 throws today. He's going to miss some, and he's going to make plays like the one he made when he scored. I had problems with Dak as well early on in the year but I had to back up and think about this for a second. He went 13-3 with receivers on the field. Now he has a #1 receiver, without a great TE. We need to have Austin back on the field, and or dial up a great 2nd tier receiver or TE this off season. His coaching staff is old fashioned, not much innovation in the passing schemes, and they managed to get by with a make shift offensive line because of the run game, which has reinvented itself after the acquisition of Cooper.

Hopefully Jerry learned. We need to go 3 deep with speed and quickness in the receiving core. And we MUST HAVE BETTER OFFENSIVE COACHING, ALONG WITH THE URGENCY TO PUT THE HAMMER DOWN ON TEAMS.

Jones needs to get serious about this receiving core, don't rest on your laurels, go all out like the Rams did.
