Is Dak unpopular because it is now a passing league?

I do see an uptick in his production with this winning streak, but I think they should probably hold off on the bust for Canton. Let's get the Division crown first.

At least you have to ability to see an uptick. Its a start. Imagine what he could do if he had real coaching and a great OC?

You're trying to discredit others football knowledge then in the same post you try to discredit Tom Brady? Ironic.

Exposed, and no one said Tom Brady never threw a pick but he's widely regarded as the GOAT and for good reason. I hate him as a fan but I give credit where credit is due.

Where did I discredit Tom Brady? Because I said he doesnt do it on his own? No, thats just understanding football.

I love Brady. Best QB of all time in my opinion.

He’s just not good. He’s ok but without this defense and 21 this team is a top 3 draft pick.

His footwork in the pocket makes him inaccurate, and he holds the ball too long. Unfortunately, his ceiling may not be much higher. That said, just about ANY team without a good defense and a top 3 RB is likely to have issues. People like to say “yeah, but if they didn’t have so and so....” ANY team can say that!

It’s now a passing league, high flying league. It’s not “sexy” to run the ball. Smash mouth football is dying and the NFL set-up the game with new rules for Fantasy Footballers / Fan Duelers to make it exciting to throw for 500 yards a game and end up with a final score of 54-51.

The new generation of football fans don’t understand the advantage of a power run offense and controlling the clock. So, Dak isn’t popular because he’s not a gunslinger. It doesn’t matter if you win or lose, fans these days just want to see long bomb throws all day and don’t care if they go 0-16 while doing it.
:huh::huh::huh::huh::huh::huh::huh: :huh:

Cool strawman bruh.

Generally bus driver style QBs are not valued by the fan base as much because their impact isn’t as obvious. Andy Dalton is a fairly solid QB but the fans have been trying to get rid of him for years now. The league has pushed to make the QB the perceived face of the franchise so when you turn on your TV and your QB isn’t contributing in the way you think he should (fairly or not) then he’s an easy target.

He's got one and half years to win you over. I'd cut him after the season. I'd cut him now if we didn't trade away the first round pick. Let's win as many games as we can to lower the draft pick and then move on in search of a QB with talent in the offseason. Maybe stash some drugs in his locker and try to frame him on a felony.

Let's just stick to the real aspects of the current output from QB position. Statements like this one only undermine your credibility even if you are just kidding. Which I get that you are - but many at this forum will lack a sense of humor on THIS subject.

That's very reasonable to me...

Dak will never be a top 5 QB. You need to get over that one right now.
How about we just laugh in your face and move on? :lmao2::lmao::clap:

Chill with the condescending tone man, it doesn’t look good.

The two throws that Dak missed yesterday for TDs will be the difference between a win and a loss to those "high flying" teams. It's not about popularity, it's about arm talent.

Yet that pass on the 90 yard TD, are the type of passes that'll be the difference between wi and losses.

I think Dak is a great guy, an incredible football player andna fantastic athlete. As a QB, I think he's just an above average prospect. I call him a prospect still, because as much as I am disappointed in his play frequently, I really believe he's been severely handicapped by the offensive coordinator and quarterback coach.
