Garrett's Locker Room Tears: Is it good or bad?

Anyway crying is ok if not an act.
Knowing Jason he probably practiced crying all week then played the cry card to motivate the team.

But it doesnt matter what we think about it, what matters is how the players perceived it , and did it change their motivations.

Landry did use the cry card at one point, and he cried and blamed himself for failing the team and players after they lost a big
game , and the players responded by becoming the winners that went to 2 SB's.

You think he faked crying to motivate the team after a win??

I just thought about how the players seeming to really love Garrett, could be a factor in why the Cowboys always seem to play better or win a game that no one expects them to, when Garrett is on the hot seat the most. They seem to like having him as their head coach. If only Garrett could get consistent results on the field when it matters the most.

To those of you who have played sports or ever had a coach of any kind, is it good or bad that Garrett cries in front of the team after practically every win? I ask because men tend to perceive crying as weakness. I can tell that they all love Garrett. I also heard about Landry and Parcells crying on rare occasions. I know they were both highly respected. The situation with Gallup is understandable, but Garrett cries over everything. As a woman, I think it"s awesome, but what do you men (and women) think? Can a leader of men cry a lot and be successful?

I tear up all the time when events remind me of lost loved ones.

If you watched that video closely Garrett became emotional when speaking of family on Thanksgiving. I’m sure thinking of his father he lost recently.

It’s why the Holidays are a sad or emotional time for many people cause it reminds them of family no longer with them or apart from.

And consider the importance and memories of Thanksgiving within the Garrett family. It's not just another holiday to them.

Been 9 Thanksgivings since I lost my Dad and I've cried every one of them. No matter how long it's been, the holidays can rip into the heart because there are memories everywhere and they're unavoidable. And the mere mention of family can bring the tears.

I was actually quite impressed to see how everyone came to hug him. The top players on our team too!

There was real emotion there. They will pour everything out on the field for eachother at this point.

Nothing wrong with men crying, but in direct answer to your question, "Can a leader of men cry a lot and be successful?" I would have to go to the default answer. No. At least not where anyone they are leading can see it.

No matter how bad things got this season, these guys didn't quit on JG. You may not like him but his players obviously do. Now they are in first place and only getting better. This group of young men will continue to play hard for him, so get used to him being around.

Sure 'Cita, women always say men crying is cool, but deep down they want a strong man

As for Garrett he hasn't gotten the job done in over 8 years and that makes me cry.
