One day he is, then the next he's a worse passer than Prescott by a large margin.
There's truth to that.

Not true. His arm talent has been inconsistent.
If you want Mahomes/Goff/Brees, good luck finding him. You will always come up short when comparing your QB to the best in the NFL.
I really wish you'd stop repeating this arm talent thing. It's a really weak argument w/ no teeth. We've all seen Dak thread some windows and toss some beautiful deep stuff. What really hurts Dak is consistency, which is the downfall of many/most young QB's. It would be really interesting to see what an NFL mind at OC could do w/ Dak. Riley would be great, I agree.
To the defense.Fitzpatrick is a better passer than Prescott by a large margin.
I'm responding to someone who had the opposite opinion based on a few games. You didn't criticize them so obviously you're on your groupie routine. Spare me that crap. Using your groupie logic come at the poster that made me post what I did or spare me with your bias bs.Your just saying.......what? it takes more then a game or 2 for a QB and receiver to link up and know each other, good grief, that's like what Football 0.1
Good question.......IMO NO!!!!! but see for yourself
What's interesting is there isn't one QB on OP list that would be a clear upgrade from Dak.

I want to see Dak with a new coaching staff before making a final judgement on him
YAY Im a groupe...uhh whatever that is??? Sure hope it's like the Tony Romo slobber gang groupie wagon tho!! And I quoted YOUR post because it was so outstandingly made, what with all that knowledge of Coop being a Dez average and all after THREE games....I'm responding to someone who had the opposite opinion based on a few games. Just unretire Romo; its that simple.![]()
The Jets didn't want Bridgewater..... he is not as good as Dak.....END of STORY
If he doesn't get them while he is the QB, this teams is doing nada.Sooo, just like that, all those "complimentary" players get placed on the team, and our sucky QB Dak who is now flipping hash can watch his predecessor winning SB's... wow I'm glad it was this easy.
just for clarification, since nobody "liked" my post (which sent me into a deep depression that I've only just recovered from) - I was only kiddinggive me a guy who can squat 600 pounds.
give me Vinny Testaverde.
Sooo, does this formula stand if the boys make the NFCC?????????
That's an opinion, you don't know what his ceiling is. That is the exact type of false claim that makes it appear people hate Prescott.
Another sure sign is when you criticize Prescott but also post things he's done very well and the anti-Dak crowd come in full force ignoring the criticism and calling you a dak slobberer or other idiotic names.
Look around dude - it's everywhere.
There are things Dak is doing (or not doing) on the field that has nothing to do with coaching or play-calling; it's simply issues with his ability or limitations of talent.
I don't want to bring a new coaching staff and wait another 2-3 years (because you know that will be the refrain..."he just needs time to adjust") and after 7-8 years say "well, looks like Dak wasn't the guy after all."
I love when I'm asked a plan now when my plan was never to acquire the stiff.
And the rule seems to be do not have a challenger to the QB1 on the team. The Packers made that work but it was unsettling to the team dynamics. And why did they trade him?
Because they were turning over the franchise to their first round QB in Darnold.
It's ok that you don't get it. I've seen fans here that are clearly still bitter. Some even claim Romo is a better QB than Aikman. You either are unaware or don't want to admit it. Either way, it doesn't change the fact that it's a reality. So, you can call it stupid and dumb, whatever. You're simply wrong and don't care that you are.The guy literally said that people who criticize Dak are just idiotic Romo lovers.
Of course the notion that Dak is a middling QB is an opinion. But it's certainly not illogical or invalid. It's a perfectly acceptable position that a lot of people outside of Cowboys land that wouldn't necessarily have the inherent biases we have as fans have. Are they all Romo lovers too?
That's the point. It's perfectly fair and logical to think Dak just isn't a great QB based on his play, etc. What's illogical and stupid and some of the dumbest stuff uttered on this board is chalking up Dak criticism to things like being bitter Romo got benched.
