Romo didn't start until mid-season of his 4th year in the NFL.

Dak actually had the higher pedigree being a 4th round pick from a bigger school compared to Romo as a UDFA.

Romo developed himself both while on the bench and after he became the starter. Romo improved his arm strength, accuracy and developed a more compact throwing motion.

Romo was not like Aikman who had NFL arm strength and accuracy in High School.

The comparison is between Romo and Dak. You just threw Aikman in there for no apparent reason. If you can't see the difference between Romo and Dak , I can't help you. Just b/c Dak might develop into a better QB however unlikely is an absurd straw man argument. Dak has terrible pocket awareness and too often fails to anticipate his WRs coming open. Its not fixable. He just processes what he sees slower. Problems Romo never had.

Well, I wished I could say that this surprised me but it does not. Coming out of Michigan, there were rumors about attitude and maturity levels. While I have watched him in Dallas, I have seen some of the same kinds of things from him. He's still a very young player and he could grow up and still mature into a solid player. I mean, what we've seen on the field is not all bad so there is hope. He's certainly not worse then Gregory and that guy is still here with much less production so I'm not going to come down overly harshly on Taco but I agree with those who say that he needs to do a self check here.

Romo was known as a slow processor. And was also known for not seeing WR's. However, his pocket awareness was always topnotch.

Later years, Romo got better at all the above.

I don't recall slow reading of defenses and missing open WRs being a Romo criticism, but I respect your opinion. Romo has one of the best QBRs against the blitz in NFL history.

What do you mean by “stay healthy longer”? No player is immune to injury.

TS has missed 8 games including this year.

I never said Tyron Smith was a wasted 1st round pick. Just wish he could have stayed healthy longer than 5 years, especially for an overall Top 9 pick.

Like be able to get more healthy years out of a Top 10 pick? Plus, just because he has only missed 8 games, it doesn't mean he has played healthy or up to standards the past 3 years. Dennis Thurman and a few others recently said Tyron is just not the same player anymore and how obviously injuries have caught up to him.

Just wish the Cowboys could have gotten more fully healthy years out of him, especially because of where he was drafted and the All Pro talent he showed his first 5 seasons.

115/123 = 93.49% games played

I disagree but ok

Well too bad, because they’ve finally found a nice chemistry, and the results of the current rotation speak for themselves. It’s awesome having a defense with an actual identity being built for once. And it’s the first time in I don’t know how long,I’ve actually been happy with their d-line rotation. The thing is,you have to make plays now on defense,(which is weird saying that) or your spot stands out as one open for vacancy. Unless he starts making plays and getting his name called by the announcers more,he’s not going to be considered a featured base player, because they don’t care about replacing someone if the next man up proves to do a better job. That’s one thing I’ve noticed this year, that Dallas isn’t waiting on people and situations as much, and are willing to make in season changes instead of just standing with it. That approach is what saved their season.

Is the "attitude guy" playing tonight? He might tone it down a little bit until he's actually accomplished something this league.

Dak's career projection has far higher potential than stafford and Romo. At this point in their respective careers dak has already eclipsed them.
