I'd get rid of Maher too. He's missed too many kicks lately and several near misses. He's got a big leg but I have no confidence whatsoever in him making a big kick in the playoffs.
Heck, until the end, I didn't pay much attention to FG attempts unless they were beyond 50 yds. It’s a shame about bailey
When he was here I didn’t even watch extra points
But the change was a very smart move and the kid is doing a decent job
And he has a leg

We are at 84.4 which is about middle of the packKicking is more mental than physical. And it seems once a kicker loses it, many never come back from it.
Of course, while maher is doing better than bailey now that's not really the comparison. The truth is the kicking situation is worse now than it's been in several years. Hopefully it does not cost us, but frankly, it already has (against Wash).
Next year they will bring in another kicker to compete with him.
I can think this can be said for almost all kickers. Especially this year for some reason.I'd get rid of Maher too. He's missed too many kicks lately and several near misses. He's got a big leg but I have no confidence whatsoever in him making a big kick in the playoffs.
I would make the change now. With the playoffs in mind. He's too erratic. I don't want to get eliminated because he missed a 40 yarder as time expires.
Replace him with who?I would make the change now. With the playoffs in mind. He's too erratic. I don't want to get eliminated because he missed a 40 yarder as time expires.
