It’s a shame about bailey
When he was here I didn’t even watch extra points
But the change was a very smart move and the kid is doing a decent job
And he has a leg

.>Bailey fell into a funk, you might say. But that blocked FG Vs Sea was not his fault. Refs fricken cheated him.

Kicking is more mental than physical. And it seems once a kicker loses it, many never come back from it.

Of course, while maher is doing better than bailey now that's not really the comparison. The truth is the kicking situation is worse now than it's been in several years. Hopefully it does not cost us, but frankly, it already has (against Wash).

Need to find a kicker in the draft or an overlooked undrafted gem like Bailey

I'd get rid of Maher too. He's missed too many kicks lately and several near misses. He's got a big leg but I have no confidence whatsoever in him making a big kick in the playoffs.

We are at 84.4 which is about middle of the pack
The problem isn’t the misses, it’s the number we are attempting
We are second in the league in attempts
That comes down to our red zone performance
Fix the red zone and the FG is not as important
There are teams in the 60% range now that’s a real problem

Maher is still pretty bad. Kickers separate themselves at the 40-49 range, they're all money inside of 40. Parkey is the only kicker in the league who has missed more than 1 from that range.

Maher hasn't been particularly good in that 40-49 range though. He's at 70%, 7-10, which is around 25th, depending on how many kicks you need to qualify. Bailey is 3-8 though lol.

Next year they will bring in another kicker to compete with him.

I would make the change now. With the playoffs in mind. He's too erratic. I don't want to get eliminated because he missed a 40 yarder as time expires.

I'm interested to see what confidence that 62 yarder did for Maher, I noticed after that kick he was drilling down the middle. It was to the point that even extra points were barely sliding in but after that kick everything was dead down the middle.

I can think this can be said for almost all kickers. Especially this year for some reason.
