Taco, a healthy scratch?

He's a second year player...no second year DE is a bust unless he's out of the league. They take time to develop...you guys have the shortest memories in the world. It was only a couple seasons ago D-Law was having the same stuff said about him and now look at him. It takes time...by the end of his contract if he's not producing then you can label him a bust all you want, he's still got a couple seasons though. He has all of the physical tools to be an excellent player for his draft position, give him time.

I disagree. If he got 80% of playing time which means he would constantly be out there he would be a 7+ sack a year guy and he could set the edge on running downs. Don’t think it’s fair to say that about a guy who is behind Tank and Gregory.

Gregory only has 13 more snaps than Taco this year.

... What does that exactly mean? He's good to go, but not enough to play? Seems like there's more to it, but Garrett is keeping it in the locker room.

Good,, I will actually give credit when credit is due, and Redball earns my praise here.
Get with the program, despite your draft slot allocation, or get passed up.
Amazing how coaches can look really good or really bad when it comes to overall team talent.
Good on Garret though for riding this wave the right way... to the beach.

But Gregory will continue getting the majority of the reps if he keeps playing at his current level.

Setting aside the disastrous penalties, Gregory is slaying it right now. No way Taco takes reps away from DL or RG until the playoffs and seeding are determined. Tough being behind those two dudes atm.

That’s pretty plain language. It means he better raise the intensity level in practice, and produce on the field if he wants his job back.

It means he can't perform well enough, healthy or not, to justify taking time away from Tank and Gregory.

Until he does he's not going to rob them of snaps.

Well it certainly apparent he lost the starting job to Gregory but the tweet makes me think he stopped giving 100% after that happened. Marinelli loves to rotate his players.

It seems that they are getting back to the, 'form follows function,' principle. Too many times they have plugged someone in based on promise and fantasy.

Good point, but is that the underlying dynamic in this case? Inquiring minds...

I would add that being a sore loser is not necessarily a bad thing for a pro athlete. He just needs to channel that hate for losing a competition better.

I agree.

Tank and Gregory are some pretty stiff competition.

He'd basically have to be a prodigy sent from the heavens to beat either one of those guys.

With that said, I wonder why they don't at least dress him for the relief factor.

Does the performance level drop off that much...................love to be a fly on the wall with this situation.

He is no longer on this team, but not sure what your point is.
Chaz sucked, and we had no other option.
This D L is semi loaded, and Taco does not get a waiver based on draft grade.
I don't mean to argue your point. I was just alluding to my perception that they sometimes do, 'The next man up,' routine without regard to skill or progress. My main concern is about Charlton's playing time being reduced because he has a bad attitude or not. Perhaps my take is completely off base.
But speaking of Chaz, I thought they had other options and ignored them or minimized his lack of play at a crucial time.

I guess he is having attitude issues and doesn't like being down depth chart....he has shown no heart or fight..... I guess he might get traded this off season for a conditional 5th round pick....

It will be interesting to find out. Glad to see our options are improving.
