Just stay the course Dak. Just stay the course

Problem with half the fan base is that they think the Cowboys can or will go to QBs R Us and pick another QB to be the next franchise guy.

Newsflash: Real, genuine franchise QBs don't come around often, and we as Cowboys fans have been very blessed over the decades.

As an undrafted free agent, Romo was literally an example of catching lightning in a bottle — it will likely never happen for this team again. So, A.) get over the thought that some UDFA will come in and be an All-Pro. I'm not a math guy, but the odds have to be astronomical.

B.) We don't have a first round pick, and we're likely picking late-ish in the second round, and again, the odds of finding QB1 there is long. More importantly, THE COWBOYS WON'T DRAFT A QB in second round of the 2019 NFL draft. It's just not going to happen. We're one game away from being in the playoffs with the QB so many hate, but if you think like Jerry/Garrett, they'll think that giving Dak more weapons will only help. More than likely, look for a TE there or possible OL.

C.) Later rounds? Again if you're thinking like Jerry/Garrett, it's highly unlikely given that they're already invested with two other young QBs (including late round pick, White, last year) behind Dak.

Hopefully (please, please, please) the F.O. will jettison Linehan, and hire the best OC available at any cost, who hopefully will bring in a QB coach who is amazing at developing QBs. We desperately need an offensive team who can help Dak get rid of all his warts.

I have stated a million times that I have a major love/hate thing happening with Dak, but I think for 2019, Dak is the guy. Just accept it.

Now, if he doesn't continue to improve, or, gulp, gets ever worse, then I think all bets are off for 2020.
And the other half feels that by changing coachs the result would be different. They cant find a franchise qb, (if there under the delusion Dak is ever going to progress past what he is now) and there not looking for one!

After watching Prescott suck wind now for 14 games, I'm about ready to call in the cleaning crew and get him down the road. Can't keep blaming the coaches for HOS accuracy issues. Dude is pathetic damn near every game. Love his heart, live his drive, but grief he just flat out sucks. Keep him to his contract then trade his butt or offer him a backup spot.

Dude. I wish Garret was going anywhere soon. But we are stuck with him for at least another season. Unless the cowboys totally fall apart down the stretch here.

I'll remain hopeful that, if we fail down the stretch and get our backs blown out in the 1st round, Jerry will finally say goodbye to his prized puppet.

As long as he takes that idiot Linehan with him, I'm all good dumping the clapping carrot

Garrett & Linehan won't survive for much longer disguising themselves as legitimate NFL brain trust. Jerry took notes today and he's watching dumb & dumber as closely as ever before.

Just curious, if you to pick one that was out the door tomorrow who would it be, Garrett or Linehan?

Can you read?

I said in 2019.

After that, then who knows?

You know what I finally figured out today. This current team is the complete opposite from what a team is supposed to be. It literally is totally upside down. You have 11 players on the field at all times so mistakes and penalties are going to happen. Typically you have a HC and a QB that team up to overcome the mistakes made by the other 21 players. In Dallas, we have 21 players trying to make up for the incompetence of the coaches and the limited abilities/mistakes of the QB. On top of that, they are also undisciplined and make a bunch of their own mistakes which also have to be overcome. There is no way for this to work at any level of football.

I get what you're saying but, on a macro level, you are simply agreeing with the fact that the preparation and strategy (both coaching responsibilities) are trash.

Let's face it. Is Dak ok? Yes. He's OK. He's a hell of a lot better than a 4th round QB usually ever is. But is he a franchise QB? Nope. It's year 3 now and he still holds the ball for an hour, misses reads, and is indecisive.

Unfortunately, we are at the point where we have to PAY him like a starting NFL QB. Is "just OK" worth 20+ million a year? Because that's what it's likely going to cost.

I say no. That is entirely too much money for a guy who sometimes looks great, and many times doesn't. I pray that Jerry makes the right choice (yeah right) however painful it will be and hit the reset button and not get us into a situation where we are in year 3 or 4 of Dak's deal, still have the same problems on offense, have to eat a huge cap hit if we replace him and don't have any money to upgrade anywhere else.

Zeke, Amari, Dak, Lawrence. It's going to be very hard to pay all 4.

Every team has a bad day every once in a while. The willful ignorance on display after this loss is ridiculous. To excuse everyone else's poor performance and just focus on Dak shows just how illogical the hate for Dak really is within the Cowboys fanbase.

yeah it's everybody's fault but Daks. Let's blame, garrett, scott, moore, offensive line, the opponent, the nfl refs, but Dak.

Would the collapse this season be worth it if the drunk would clean house....Clapper, Linehan, Marinelli and Dink and Dunk!
