I hope so but at this stage of the year it throws another season away
 
Problem with half the fan base is that they think the Cowboys can or will go to QBs R Us and pick another QB to be the next franchise guy.

Newsflash: Real, genuine franchise QBs don't come around often, and we as Cowboys fans have been very blessed over the decades.

As an undrafted free agent, Romo was literally an example of catching lightning in a bottle — it will likely never happen for this team again. So, A.) get over the thought that some UDFA will come in and be an All-Pro. I'm not a math guy, but the odds have to be astronomical.

B.) We don't have a first round pick, and we're likely picking late-ish in the second round, and again, the odds of finding QB1 there is long. More importantly, THE COWBOYS WON'T DRAFT A QB in second round of the 2019 NFL draft. It's just not going to happen. We're one game away from being in the playoffs with the QB so many hate, but if you think like Jerry/Garrett, they'll think that giving Dak more weapons will only help. More than likely, look for a TE there or possible OL.

C.) Later rounds? Again if you're thinking like Jerry/Garrett, it's highly unlikely given that they're already invested with two other young QBs (including late round pick, White, last year) behind Dak.

Hopefully (please, please, please) the F.O. will jettison Linehan, and hire the best OC available at any cost, who hopefully will bring in a QB coach who is amazing at developing QBs. We desperately need an offensive team who can help Dak get rid of all his warts.

I have stated a million times that I have a major love/hate thing happening with Dak, but I think for 2019, Dak is the guy. Just accept it.

Now, if he doesn't continue to improve, or, gulp, gets ever worse, then I think all bets are off for 2020.

We’ll never get rid of Garrett but Linehan is finished.

He’s been finished since 3-5.

But strangely he's still in his role doing what he does... Putting little Fisher Price blocks together.
 
Just for the record, Dak could have performed better today too but there was plenty of that blame to cover all 53 players.

Our coaching staff (primarily dumb Garrett and dumber Linehan) has been masquerading as a legitimate staff that actually pulls together intricate strategies and out coaches others for several weeks now. We've been winning these games mostly due to the collection of talent we have on the field.

Welp... Today the masks fell off and dumb & dumber were left looking very genuine. They are what we think they are and we can only hope our on field talent comes through to gift us with a nice playoff run this year.

I have the utmost confidence in KR and that defense but even a top tier defense is going to get caught out there. Today it was dumb & dumber's chance to return the favor that defense has been doing for them all season and they were what they were.

I can almost guarantee--knowing my guarantee is worthless--that Garrett's future is secure if the team makes the playoffs or finish with a winning season and out of the postseason. Linehan? I think you may have his immediate future pegged well no matter what happens.

I hear you and you very well could be right. I just remember the way Jerry addressed the issue when we were back at 3-5. It just left me with the impression that Garrett was on the clock & nothing short of a deep playoff run would change that.

Today, I'm feeling like we got our current QB at 'QBs 'R Us' - hope Jerry kept the receipt.
