I know its not going to be popular but I am glad we lost

i would be okay with it if we had a real HC , there is no 'wake call' in the Garrett era .
not sure I blame this fully on Garrett.....the team today had some chances. missed TD, kicks and lots and lots of missed tackles....we held luck to 192 yard passing which should give dan lovians another ammunition

I am never glad after any loss. I don't believe in moral victories, and I don't think my opinion will sway the team either way. They lost and looked bad in their performance. I expected a lopsided win in favor of the Cowboys, but the first series set the tone for the game. They could very well lose next week, but once again, I expect victory.

Maybe it actually is? The Colts got shutout 2 weeks ago by the Jags. They responded by knocking off the Texans and Cowboys in consecutive weeks.
So maybe we lost a chance to the Superbowl when we defeated New Orleans, darn.

INDY is a very good young team on the rise. They were playing for their very playoff lives. Absolute must win for them. And then played like it.

Problem is, we didn't play like it in return. No pressure on their QB, couldn't tackle, just not a good game by us. O drove the ball well, but we just cannot score.

Some will blame this lost on the coaches or the QB but the truth is that no one player in this game was prepared for the level of intensity that the Colts brought to this game.

I think this is a good lost only because our young players got a taste of what true playoff football is like in this game with the Colts playing for their playoff lives. How we respond next week will tell us a lot about our team and what we can expect in the playoffs.

One lost in the last six games and we looked nothing like we have in the previous 5 games. No need for the fair weather fans to jump off the band wagon just yet. We still have time to hit our stride.

There's no good loss, that's just something fans tell themselves to feel better. The team just needs to learn from it, teams need to raise their game this time of year and it's time for us to do the same.

 @ posts like this.
There is no such thing as a good loss for a team looking to win the division and make some noise in the playoffs.

Colts are a beatable team
Win and you win the division and you can start to give some guys time off to heal
Win on the road and you gain some confidence

I fail to see a single silver lining in this loss.

It's something that they can learn from for the immediate future that can help them in preparation. IMO it is something that the players could look back on and say it was that game.....

A few of the players are saying that it was a 'needed' loss, for motivation and a reminder. Hmm, like being paid an absolute fortune and getting treated like Gods isn't enough of a reminder or motivation to try. Throw in that the divisional title was on the line and it's an even more mind boggling position to take. Who do they think they are fooling with such nonsense?

Maybe fans say this to make themselves feel better :omg:

Yeah of course there is no good loss, but yeah this team needed a loss to see they need to play with high intensity every week no matter what or who it is they are playing. I mean, who didn't think we were gonna lose after the first few minutes watching the game.b you could see the lack of intensity by the cowboys players, like they were just riding the wave from the winning streak. That was proven by the stupid go for it on 4th and 1 at goalline call by Garrett. Just proves that he didn't think this team could recover from being down a few points.

Now we will know what this team is made of next week. I don't care if eagles and Commanders win the rest of their games. If we can simply clinch it by winning one of the next 2, then we are just wasting time

All last week i waited and waited for the post “we don’t really need to win this game” it never came, but this makes up for it. There is no such thing as a good loss when there are only a limited number of games, kind of reminds me of Jerry when he said it was a moral victory when we almost beat the broncos a few years ago. In this nfl parity you aren’t guaranteed anything.
