After yesterday's performance...

I tried looking at our schedule to see who we have beaten this year that has a winning record..

Other than the Saints..

I could not find anyone.

Unless you want to count the Iggles who are now 1 game behind us and closing.

This says it all.

The playoffs are not someplace we will succeed.

Our 90's something offense run by DAK who appears more and more to be a Quincy Carter Clone..

will not be able to score enough.

All the teams are good there except us.

Correct me if I am wrong.

I am sure you guys will.

Winning the division is not going to help us.

the way I view it is we'll find out quickly on wildcard weekend* how good this team is.
Either we beat another team with an winning record or they'll have a week 18 exit.
Wildcard weekend every team is 0-0.

*Unless we pull off an 0-2 finish and Philly wins out.

Pittsburgh lost to the raiders last week. This weekend they beat the Patriots. The NFL is a week-to-week league.

Its now obviously a bend don't break defensive strategy against us. Run all the plays and take all the time you want however when you get to our 30 yard line you will self destruct by sack or penalty or both. Dak and Co. are clueless in the RZone and our coaches are obviously clueless with fixing it.

Although quincy didn't have nearly the defense or the running back that Dak has now, I can see some similarities.

Everything will play itself out hopefully soon. All we can do as fans is hope for the best and cheer for the cowboys to go deep in the playoffs.

Yeah everyone acts like Dak is a finished product but history tells us he has some growth to go. He's such a hard worker that I think he can become a better QB in the next couple seasons. That's why I like Dak dispite his warts. Dude is an elite worker with good enough talent to win big if surrounded by playmakers and given enough time in the pocket. Plus, he's got the wheels to be a problem for defenses in the playoffs.

Who acts like Dak is a finished product? I don't even think those who believe Dak is the right QB for the team are claiming that.

I saw Quincy play, He is not like Dak, he was a better athlete than Dak. Quincy got to play for Parcells. How good do you think Dak would be if he was being coached by Parcells?

Really? I recall the Giants 2x backing into the playoffs actually losing last 2 games...and won 2 SBs
Dallas has beaten the Saints...Eagles just beat Rams ...there are No real runaway teams atm in NFC...Dallas has a chance ..Defense,running the ball, clock management.....called being optimistic....so many haters & critics.....this Forum is soooo NEGATIVE almost feel it's a Eagle's forum in disguise

Mix in an inability to convert when within the Red Zone, with penalties and turn-overs, and this team is not geared for a playoff level run. Red Zone will not cure in a single game or two...and the drive killing penalties have been along for the ride, all season.

Carter was below average. No doubt. Dak is above him slightly right now. Can Dak improve? Maybe. I was watching Carter at UGA. I couldn't believe it when the Cowboys drafted him. I was stoked, for a minute. Soon to realize that Carter doesn't have it for the NFL.. The Team around Carter wasn't much better. Dak has considerably more talent around him. I do see a resemblance in Carter/Dak. It is exactly correct to what Redball is talking about. Only difference is I still think Dak can turn it around. I hope Dak can. But, I also hope that Dallas doesn't waste the young talent they have at key positions waiting for this guy to turn it around. He's got another year IMO... Get better, or out.

I have concerns about Dak too, but Quincy Carter comparisons are over the top.

Dak: 66% completions, 7.4 yards per attempt, 62 TDs, 24 INTs

QCar: 56% completions, 6.5 yards per attempt, 29 TDs, 36 INTs

Add in his sacks.

The picture gets more complete.

DAK holds the ball way too long.

He is a drive ender anymore.

Not against bad teams as much.

But against good ones..

he is a disaster.
