Liking DAK reminds me of several old GFs.

There were things you loved about them..

then there were things that I perpetually hated that never went away.

Finally the camel's back would break.

Then they wanted back but I had to move on and not spend the money and time.

Sort of that way with DAK.

When I look at these rookie QBs coming in the league and setting their houses on fire and winning games..

I remember DAK in 2016 and then now.

Dallas is 17th in the league in YAC and were 28th when Amari Cooper joined the team. If you want to discount Dak on that stats, you have discount more than half the league along with him.

Pat Mahomes is 2nd in the NFL in YAC yardage, I don't see anyone discounting his play based on YAC.

When do we finally hit Cooper or Gallup in stride 30-40 yards down field so he doesn't have to dink and dunk down the field every single series. You can have Cooper and speed but if you're constantly running slants and out routes within 20 yards of the LOS how does a defense not sit on that?

Quincy Carter actually had a quality season in 2003 and was slated to start the next year. Parcells had no trouble moving on though given the opportunity. If we have the opportunity to get better at the QB position, we should take it.

We drafted Mike White, so everyone can root for him in training camp next year. If Dak is a Quincy Carter clone, he should win the job easy.

Dak throws 3 yard passes, even my grandmother can do that. Us lifelong footballs fan know what we see. A guy who hesitates, can't make reads and freaks out mentally when he has to throw to a wide open guy. He also can't feel the pocket develop and always makes the opposites steps in the pocket he should be making. Watch a guy like Brady use 1-3 steps to buy himself an extra 2 seconds and a wide open view downfield. Dak simply does not have that instinct. His first instinct is to freeze, his second is to panic.

Wrong. Averages 7.3 yards per game. Cowboys opponents average 7.4 ypg. Even the strong armed Carson Wentz for his career averages 7.01 ypg.

Carter
seemed to have a stronger arm
was more athletic (mobility and speed)
could pull off the spectacular, occasionally

Dak
better overall leader
sturdier frame
way better team representative off the field...obviously
due to his work ethic, can be counted on to work on his game

Other than the Saints..

I could not find anyone.

Unless you want to count the Iggles who are now 1 game behind us and closing.

This says it all.

But Mahomes also has plenty of balls down field outside of a 10-15 yard window he completes too. That's my point, when do we get those from Dak? We don't.

We have seen those in every game with Amari Cooper except for yesterday. There were two of those done to perfection against the Eagles that went for TDs.

We also never heard a peep of the deep ball criticism when Dez Bryant was on the team.

"Dak can't throw the deep ball" has an asterisk next to it that says "When Allen Hurns and Deonte Thompson are the starting WRs"

Carter actually ran with the ball sometimes. Dak seems like he has no ability to move past the LOS. I assume that's mostly coming from the coaching staff but still.

Maybe her isn’t running because he remembers getting his bell rung in the Washington game and is making business decisions to not run and take the chance of getting hurt. Give someone else the opportunity to take his spot
