Middle of the week and the team is now focused on Tampa Bay. Other than learning from the mistakes made in the Colts game, in order to fix them for the next game. This team can't afford to mentally dwell on the Colts loss, anymore than they can afford to be focused on the last Cowboys win before their last game. The Colts game was bad, but they have to put it all behind them and be 100% focused on the Bucs, or either wise they risk getting upset by the Bucs, if they aren't focused and dialed in.

I will say this past weekend, teams lost. SEA lost to SF, Rams lost to Eagles, Cheifs, NEall these teams lost big games
...and not ONE of the losing head coaches were on the field after their loss smiling like a 2 year old. Maybe I am being too critical, but that was just really odd to me. Sends a message to the players. "Hey, we just got our ***** handed to us, shut out in fact, lets smile!"

to many fans bought the cheese. this is STILL the year the COwboys make no noise. accept it.

this was a year to fix the wrongs and we made the wrongs more wron and the rights less right.

we all know what must be done and if its not done no amount of talent is going to get you over a hump the coaches refuses to jump.
Yeah, it's a pretty tough job to gather so much talent that they can overwhelm poor coaching.

The Cowboys are trying. But it's simply not working right now.

Totally DISGUSTED with this team. They didnt go out Sunday ready to play. They had injuries, they didnt need the game, to hell with all the excuses. They just went and stole Jerrys money for the game.

Dak was the worst i have ever seen him. I understand the guy is handicapped by a lack of coaching, or lack of capable coaching, but he's been in the league for 3 yrs. Suck it up be a professional and get the job done. Dallas is a way better team than the Colts, he and the team just laid a egg plain and simple.

Dallas needs to bring in a Tyrod Taylor or Teddy Bridgewater to Challenge Dak. And Dak needs a QB coach who is gonna get into his face and tell him he's *** it up. Sacks on Dak vs the Colts were 100% on him. He had plenty of time to get the ball off or run. Wether there was somebody open or not, he held onto the ball in the pocket way too long. For the first time in awhile too i saw him just trying to muscle the pass to the spot which put him entirely too much off balance and the throw sailed. You can see him trying to throw at different velocities but you dont get enough practice time during the season to tweak this effectively. Defending this kid on bad throws is getting harder to do. Him turning the ball over so much is a very big problem.

I dont think you give up on him, and no way do you draft another young QB. But i think you challenge him in 2019 with an established vet who if he can beat Dak out let him start.

Elliot is starting to get nicked up, taking too many hits. I think its time to start letting Smith get more snaps. Not only is Elliot carring the ball over 20 times a game, he's also catching the ball on avg of 7 times a game.

I cant wait until this team gets rid of Hurns and Beasley. I haver never seen Beasley run so many lazy routes. And Hurns is a waste of a roster spot. There's a reason Jacksonville never even tried to resign him.

TE is starting to come around, but these guys are still good backups playig a starting role. IM still hoping for a guy like Jesse James in Dallas. A TE who can play the middle of the field and up the seams. But more importantly a TE who can BLOCK. Think we saw exactly why Rico doesnt play on that 4th and 1 Elliot got stopped at the 3. Margus Hunt went right across Rico who whiffed on a attempted block and blew up the play. If Rico barely even touches Hunt thats a TD for Elliot.

All in all the OL played ok. The QB was just horrible vs the Colts. Dont even feel like typing his name. I was actually suprised the OL didnt struggle more vs the Colts with Maertin being out. They gave #4 plenty of time to throw or make a decision to run. The run blocking was good as always. The QB and WRs just didnt execute the way they had been.

ON defense the LBers just got eaten alive by Mack all day long. Vander looked like the rookie we saw in preseason. Looked like a deer with headlight shining right at him on running plays. Jaylon was over running plays. And Lee made no impact on the few plays he was in.

The Colts ran most of time at Lawrence. Think this wore him out. I will say the Colts got away with a ton of holding calls. Nelson was holding on virtually every play. I hadnt seen that much holding since the Packers playoff game.

The secondary was off balance and never got into the game.

Yes, true the Cowboys didnt need this game. But, that doesnt mean you make every mistake you could to lose this game as bad as it looked. Theres gotta be some turnover on coaching this offseason. NO way can you keep this coaching staff intact. Garrett i know will be HC, and they have to keep Richards.

Dak was NOT the issue in this game. Watching the game tells you that quite plainly. Oline, defense, pass catchers were the issue on Sunday.

Dak moved the team up and down the field virtually at will. Should have scored on the first 3 possessions had it not been for penalties, dropped TD passes, 4th and 1 runs stuffed, blocked FG. Cowboys had the ball 5 times only the first 3.5 quarters of the game. Dak moved them into scoring territory on all 5 of them. One of them started at the 3 yard line.

The talent on our OLine is gone. All injured or a shadow of themselves such as Tyron Smith. As far as pass catchers we have Cooper and that's about it. Beasley is nice, but not a guy that's going to make the big play.

I'm not sold on Dak either, but I don't see the point of bringing in other inconsistent and unproven QBs to challenge Dak. If the team isn't sold on Dak, we should do what we need to get a true replacement - a guy who has a chance to be a franchise QB rather than one that we can only hope to provide incremental improvement, if even that.

A. Woods and Crawford were beaten badly, abused by the Colts interior, most of the run damage was done right up the middle. LVE looked like a rookie and Jaylon like the 2017 version. Their guards had them locked up 5 yards downfield all day. As bad as we looked it was actually a great performance by the Colts upfront and their coaching staff.

I understand your frustration but you are overreacting, with all due respect.

Every team has these games. The Rams got beat by the 7-7 Eagles. and the Eagles ate their defensive line alive. Those games happen.

For the record, assuming you are talking about the 4th and 1 where Zeke was stuffed and he fumbled, Rico was playing in on that play and Hunt was nowhere near him. Hunt got through because someone forgot to block him and it was either Connor Williams or Joe Looney, Rico had nothing to do with it. He was on the far left and from what I saw blocked the guy in front of him. Rico is actually staring to block better, he was not the problem on that play. They should have run to his side, they would have gotten the 1st down. They ran to the side where they had the fewest blockers and no one blocked Hunt, while Su'a-Filo and Smith blocked the same guy allowing the safety to come around and tackle Zeke.

Given the number of subs and injuries on teh OL, I wish Linehan would keep the blocking assignments simple. Just push forward for the one yard. Then you have 1st and goal from the 2 or 1. Then do the same thing or maybe pitch out to get Zeke on the perimeter.

Yeah this was a putrid game, but quite honestly we shouldn't really be surprised it happened. TheColts needed the game worse than we did and we have been in win now or go home mode for weeks.

It's not good, but it happens. I'm not overly concerned about it if we show up and thump the Bucs. If we let the Bucs beat us, at home, then there will be blood in the water in week 17 if the Eagles and/or the Commanders win this week.

I've seen Dak play worse this year. More than once.

On the oline, with Sua-Filo we got in scoring position both drives. With Redmond, 0 times for the rest of the game. The oline was the biggest problem on offense. Didn't look like anyone had a good game. I wonder if they did anything special to shut down Cooper.

We ran weak side with 3 blockers into 4 defenders. Already a mismatch, and we didn't block well on top of it. If we ran run option, it's two runner against the unblocked defender and we have the advantage. But, Linehan.

Dallas sucked, yes.
But lets not act like they are way better than the Colts.
The Colts were favored and if anyone bothers to look at that roster theyd see they match up well with us.

Does not excuse lYing an egg, but the opponent does deserve some credit

We got into field goal ranch once all game. 2 drives greater than 45 yards. does Dak pay you or what, he was terrible.

Haha..

OH my..

That was a really interesting overview.

But you know this team..

The greatest plans of mice and man..etc.

Our team is like the old TV series Dallas.

:p

Each week is twists and turns..

drama and romance..

The threads change with this team daily.

I have long ago stopped predicting this group of yoyo's.

I just try to relax and watch it becuz after 50 years of watching them..

I have come to expect a disappointment at the end.

Hate it..

but I am addicted.
