When did he blame Dez? You know that Dak isn't the only Cowboys player former or current that has called out the playcalling, right?
I went through this on another post and pasted the link to the article, I'll do it for you too because I'm a nice guy. Also, leaders don't cast blame, they do what needs to be done in the background so it doesn't happen again.

He's apparently implying none were called but going forward, he'll make his own necessary adjustments if the game dictates.

Dak Prescott was not sure if last week’s game against Indianapolis was the first game of his career he did not have a rush. It wasn’t. It was the third, but some of that was by design because the Cowboys felt they could run against the Colts without many zone-read looks. Prescott, who has 303 yards on 67 carries on the season, wants to do more with his legs this week against Tampa Bay. “I kind of just go with what the defense is giving me and their schemes and if they’re giving me running lanes or something like that, taking off,” Prescott said. “To finish a game like last week not having any rushing attempts, probably for the first time in my whole career, it’s crazy. After the game, you feel as healthy as I did, you almost a bad feeling because I realize didn’t run the ball. I didn’t do certain things where I’ve got to be able to do that and take matters into my own hands and go do it even if it’s not called.”

RUN DAK RUN...It opens up more opportunities for Zeke. You can not run an option without another option. DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stop listening to these dumb coaches (Garrett and Linehan). Wade Wilson, scouted you because you were a version of Tim Tebow that could throw the ball.

Staubach ran the ball when Landry was yelling "No Roger No!". It changed to "Go Roger Go".

Dak is bashed earlier in this thread for suggesting that he may run more, saying that his job is to throw and that Zeke should run. Now he is bashed if he doesn't run, because the coaching staff wants to turn him into something he is not. Proof that Dak will never be able to do right with some.
Lol, I can't stand Dak honestly, but even I can't blame him for that last game. That O-line was one big walking band-aid.

Sounds like he is taking responsibility on himself. Because to be fair, Dak does get bashed for not throwing the WR a perfect ball. If they drop it. So, that is what some do suggests if a catchable ball is dropped, Dak often gets the blame.

Dak's best attribute seems to be blaming others for his own shortcomings. You don't need a coordinator to tell you to take off iff a play breaks down or to make time for the receivers to scrmable. Well, you don't if you're a competent QB.

As a experienced "Bus Driver" throwing others under the Bus is Dak's specialty .....:omg:

Kind of sounds like he was being passive aggressive and I'm sure Dez probably felt the same way. You could be right also, since I'm no mind reader.

Frankly, I don't need to see more designed runs for Dak. But he does need to have a much better feel for moving around the pocket and running when he needs to.

Dak needs to call his own number on occasion. Or when he sees a lane while he is standing there holding the ball he needs to take off.

Seen several times he took a sack that he had a open lane to step up in or run.
Not going to lie Dak loves to say sounds good stuff folks eat up. Now this dude a robot that has no control over what to do? That's not true so when necessary he needs to run and stop trying to pass the blame. I'm pretty sure every play Cam, Vick, Marriota, Lamar type qbs run aren't called but they see the chances to keep the chains moving. I'm not here for these weak behind excuses regarding running the ball.

It shouldn't need to be called for you to escape the pocket and extend the play or just flat out run.

It's what you're good at! Running.

Defenses have to account for you if you show that you're a threat and you can be more then just a threat but a real weapon for us!

Get out of the pocket Dak. Stop reading every single route on every single play and just run sometimes.

Hopefully, he will take it upon himself to change plays if he needs to from now on.

hmmm, sounds like he's figuring out he has to win at the LOS ... the play calling is just that wack

Being you can’t just rely on his passing, they really don’t have much choice, but to get a few runs to keep the defense honest.

Someone tell Dak that his Job is to Throw the Football as we have Zeke to run the ball.....as great leaders always do  he's looking to shift blame again from his horrendous performance once again....Guess he can't use the ball hitting the helmet excuse again......

His job is to help win football games and by any means necessary. Dak's legs are a vital aspect to his success right now as a young QB with a limited but developing skillset, pretending he shouldn't use this skill set because it doesn't fit your ideal image of a prototypical passing QB is just plain DUMB.

No way, he can't be shifting blame yet again??? He doesn't have Dez to blame now, so it's the O-Coordinator. Some leader.

Did either of you read the article? Sounded to me like he was blaming himself for not taking advantage of opportunities to run.
