No matter what a loss is inevitable in this scenario. Do you take the L i the Conference Championship or the SB?

For me, I would rather lose in the CC. Losing in the SB is too much for me to deal with.

I have trouble with the concept of preferring that our team not make the Super Bowl in any scenario. Getting there is second only to winning it.

I've witnessed Cowboys Super Bowl wins and losses.

You NEVER, EVER get over a Super Bowl loss. It's why I'll hate the Pittsburgh Steelers for all of my days. Heck, IMO, we still owe them one more.

If we must lose (statistically likely), I just want a close game with great effort, but not in the Super Bowl.

That said, like others have mentioned, just enjoy the ride, but hopefully, it won't be one game in.

Superbowl losses are truly more traumatic in dealing with,,, but ya know, my brother @Biggems? , we are both taking that less painful,,,but,,, gut less road, when we agree it's better to have lost in the CC & not having to of suffered the 2 week hype& build up only to plunge over the cliff with that E-TICKET RIDE on the AGONY of DEFEATo_O

I dont think well have to worry about either. I'd rather not make the playoffs than lose the sb. The backlash would be unreal.

I am genuinely confused by this line of questioning. Are you suggesting that you would prefer the Cowboys lose sooner than later so it doesn't hurt as much?

Losing sucks but considering the Cowboys weren't even supposed to be in the playoffs 6 weeks ago I feel like we fans should enjoy that the Cowboys are in the playoffs no matter the outcome. If they lose in the first round, it will still be better than what we expected 3 to 4 weeks ago. So, in other words, my recommendation is to enjoy the ride come what may....journey over destination.

Super Bowl losses are too heartbreaking and they stay with you forever
Lose a regular playoff game and all you do is look forward to the next year unless you are screwed by the refs over a dropped ball call or lose three straight NFC championships in the 80s with a Danny White led team.

I'm still having trouble fathoming that we have fans who would rather their team not appear in the Super Bowl than lose in it. Getting to Super Bowls is an accomplishment all by itself, whether you win or lose.

Do we seriously have fans who would have preferred that we didn't make Super Bowl V because we lost to the Colts or X and XIII just because Pittsburgh beat us?
