Isn’t it great

It was just an immature move..."initial move" upon acquiring ownership,, it was an immature Jerry Jones move, that sounds kinda crazy now...lol

Give us another Ring Jerry, and just watch how popular you get... everybody loves a winner,,,

I always put it more on Bum Bright, he was the one selling the team and knew what was coming down. As much as I liked Tex he knew what was coming. I'm sorry I don't think there is a good way to fire someone.

There's that corner most thought the FO mainly Jerry would never turn. Seems it might finally be happening.

Prolly because Jerry isn't the tyrant some make him out to be and even listens to SJ and WM. I don't know. I've never sat in the corporate board room there, have sat in a few others and dictators rarely last, they can't handle coup d'etat

Isn’t it great that after a 3-5 start Jerry went out and did something about the anemic WR corps? It took big juevos to go out and give up a #1 pick for a player of great need. 90% of this board complained about the pick. Now those same posters are totally silent about it. Not only did Cooper turn around this offense but he has also give the team a big shot of energy and more importantly confidence. Kudos to Jerry, Stephen, Garrett and McClay for having the guts to make the trade.
..well in this life, the matter still stands. "Nothing ventured, nothing gained".. Even goes for sports..

Yes, Jerry thanks Cooper.
Now go hire a real football GM, HC, OC, QBC and re-sign Richards while your at it.
Then the majority of the Zone will gladly send you a bottle of JW Blue Label for your retirement party so we may eventually start competing for Championships again.
Post of the day!!! Drop the mic!!!

I think he was in fact the tyrant he was made out to be. I attribute this to senality setting in. It's funnier that way.

Parcells has said that. Jerry is not running around telling others what will be done, he listens to those he has hired and will listen. Only when there is not a consensus does Jerry step up and make the call. For all the heat Jerry takes I will say that is on him, he choose to put himself in this position so with it comes the heat.

We wouldn’t have won the division without Cooper so he was definitely worth a #1 pick.

Hummm, The biggest difference on this team is the defense, it's the only reason we finish better than 7-9. I do give Jerry tremendous props for Richards. I'll be sad to see him go.

Now about the Coop trade. right now I'm ok with it, but he needs a TC with a new OC before I can give it a final decision.

I still hate the trade. Will hate it even more in April.
The good news is Justin Herbert is going back to school for one more year so Dallas will be able to target him in the draft. Dak can play out his contract and then bye bye!

I was all for it. Can't get a better player than him in the middle of the draft.

However, he's done nothing the past two weeks. Not his fault.

True as well as drafting players on defense. I seem to recall last couple of years people jumping on Jerry about defense and they went out and drafted players in the secondary and at LB as well as DE, yet to start the season people continued with well did not get a safety or a DT and while I think upgrades to those spots will happen I think Jerry and the organization has put together a very good unit on defense.

Jerry made a bold desperate move to spark our offense .

I said we would need to make the playoffs to warrant giving up our 1st pick. Which we have..

Jerry’s decision is a questionable one worthy of debate not chastising other fans.

But to call other members out I thought was against the rules of this forum !!!!

Ya I never understood the dynamics behind the Bright vs landry relationship.
Bright didn't like Landry's play calling or personnel moves, but apparently he couldnt fire him because he gave his word to the previous owner that Tex and Landry would stay. Something like that, don't remember all the details. I loved Landry, but I thought he was ready to go. I didn't like the way it was done, though.

He gets away with violating rules as do other zone supporters. Just pay attention to who gets benched and for what then see who slides.

Yeah I know. I acknowledge it's irrational because Cooper is a true #1 WR who's still young and makes big plays. I just hate not having that pick. Oh that is going to suck in April.
People like you and I are draftniks... of course it’s going to suck not having a first round pick. It will take a lot of the fun out of the pre-draft/post-draft process for us.

However, I can admit that Cooper is likely to be better than anyone the Cowboys could have taken in the mid-twenties. Plus, he’s still very young which is the key for me.
