Linehan’s stupidity continues to show: Elliott hasn’t scored a rushing touchdown in 4 games

Yup and then Linehan tries calling plays easier for Dak to connect with and again gets criticized for being to vanilla.
I don't criticize for being too vanilla. I criticize him for being to easy to game plan for and not showing any creativity in varying his play calling. In other words, he sucks.

We all criticize when it doesn't work. A lot has changed this year but not a lot has worked, some is on Linehan, some is on the receivers, some on OL, and alot on Dak. We saw him use alot of 4 wide receivers vs saints on the longer drives, changing to TE in red zone to give Dak bigger targets. That game he moved Brown all over the formation. Saw him use Olawale more vs Colts, still didn't work. We've thrown more to Zeke this year than to any rb during Garrett's tenure. We are not taking advantage of the receivers getting 1 on 1 match ups on the outside. Having said all that we should all be good with getting rid of Linehan to see if anyone can fix our passing game with the QB we have now.

Throwing to Zeke takes him out of the box, thus one less blocker with a depleted OL. Genius! Lol!

RPOs work , thats why linehan opposes to using them .

Absolutely. So throw it.

The fact that we're not points straight to Linehan.
Does it?

Glad some of you guys are not cops.

You would be sending guys to prison on flimsy evidence.

I see not clear path there.

Might it occur to you that DAK has told him what routes he prefers and that is what is being called for down and field position?

I think that is what is happening.

Not blind play selection.

The scouting report on the other team dictates some of the playcalling.

Wow.

I'm no expert but it feels like everytime we run the ball inside the 5 we get stuffed for no yards or we lose a couple unless it's Dak running. To me it's not Linehans fault. It's the lack of a TE that knows how to get open down there.

Just curious....... did Andy Reid get in some extra head coaches and offensive play calling classes this year? Because, damn... he became an offensive guru this year. I wonder what the chiefs PPG is this year compared to last. Good thing he puts in the extra hours.
Talent matters, absolutely. So does playcalling. No need to polarize!!!!!

Wow is correct. I'm no expert and don't claim to be. However, Linehan has always preferred pass happy. What is really WOW is that you haven't noticed that.

I really though we were doing just fine w/o the sarcasm and drama, though.

Sorry.

My points stand.

We agree to disagree.

No prob.

I don't think they do.

Or to be more precise, I didn't see you address the fact that Linehan's playcalling has been very odd in the past, and he's gone passhappy at often the strangest times. Even w/ the great OL and EZ running like crazy back in 16, we'd get the ball down to the red zone, and suddenly, WHAM, Pass pass pass. I'm not exaggerating. It happened in the playoff game vs GB.

Linehan is known for calling long developing routes. That type of O does not fit Dak.

With our redzone issues, you would assume we would try and give it to our best player. Instead, we continue to pass on the 5 yard line or try and do these ridiculous trick plays that aren’t fooling anyone
Well its a combo of things. Linehan and Zeke hasnt tore it up anyways inside the 5 when getting his shots and that is a direct reflection of the OL issues. The Cowboys definitely need to do three things this off season. Address OL in the 2nd Round and sign Earl Thomas for Safety..Find a backup QB other than Rush or White to nudge Dak and one that has the potential to beat out Dak.
