I love Texas. I was born and raised there. I just don't agree with a lot of what they teach or preach. (I'm a science guy)

I will say this though. Tex-Mex is GOD's food and I'm a god***** agnostic!

The Chinese food sucks *** down there though. Sometimes you've got to take the good with the bad and long as the good is Tex-Mex!

Like you, I was born, raised and educated in Texas. A significant portion of my family still leave there. I wouldn't trade my formative years in Texas for anything.

But... I am a real wimp when it comes to heat and humid. I just can't tolerate Texas in the summer any longer, hence the move to Colorado.

I will tell you that my first stop when we fly into Austin is Blacks or City Market BBQ in Luling. Hard to beat Texas BBQ.

Lived in Texas a short time when I was very young.
Only have a few memories of things while living there when I was that young. Lived in the Beaumount area.

I did my basic training in El Paso Texas (Fort Bliss)
Did my AIT in San Antonio (Fort Sam Houston)
Traveled a number of areas in Texas while I was station in Fort Polk Louisiana.
Loved fishing at Toledo Bend.
Been to Houston a few times.
Had a TDY in Port Arthur to help provide medical coverage while ships were being loaded for Desert Storm which was kind of weird as it was around the same general area of Texas I lived when I was very young.

Of the many different places I liked San Antonio the best. As a youth it was always a fun weekend going into town and having fun at the river walk.

Before I will endorse this move I would need to know how you vote.

I used to work in Carrollton and Plano. Career was mart manager. Born in Missouri and lived in Alaska also. Meth here is so bad and crime is ridiculous in Springfield. I vote in middle.

My cousin lives in canyon, I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. I expected it to be flat and barren like a lot of the area but it reminded me of how it is a cozy little college town
