Dak is Mr Clutch!

Prescott did a solid job.
226 yards
1 TD
1 Interception

Fantastic use of his wheels which has always been his greatest asset.

We were favourites with home field advantage and the defense only allowing 2/13 3rd down completions also helped...

All about next week. Facing the Saints in the dome is what it's all about.

We do have an excellent overall team. Very strong regardless of what people claim. I'm not getting all teary eyed just yet with happiness as in my view this team should make it or come very close to reaching the Superbowl this season.

That's the reality so we did what we should have done against the Hawks.

If we beat the Saints should we play them then it would be party time as we would be well on our way.

My own view is that Sean Payton having so much preparation time to face a team that beat him in the regular season...I fear for our chances.

I won't come on here bashing Prescott should we lose.

My one objective criticism is his and the whole teams' ability to perform on the road which is backed up by our overall regular season record.

Fingers crossed for next week.

Dak has surpassed romo. I have to admit

He’s doing what romo never could overcome
TR never had a defense like this one, I still don't trust #4 to make THAT throw in THAT situation. He made one good throw last night and it got us a TD, I'm happy for that, but there was a lot, A LOT of meat left on that bone and until he becomes more consistent in the pocket and makes more of those throws I'm gonna doubt him.

I still hope this defense can continue to carry this team. I'm shaded though, too many times this franchise has made me an optimist.

Yes, dak is not a NFL QB

I'll lay this down right here:

Player.....att/cmp...yds...yds/att...td/int
Prescott..22/33.....226.....6.8......1/1 (4th rd/3rd yr)
Wilson....18/27.....233......8.6......1/0 (3rd rd/7th yr)
Luck.......19/32.....222......6.9......2/1 (1st rd/7th yr)
Watson..29/49.....235......4.8......1/1 (1st rd/2nd yr)

I guess Wilson, luck nor Watson aren't NFL QBs either.

I'll say it again, replace Dak with Wince or any other QB that is favored on this board and all of the Dak doubters constantly trying to discredit what Dak accomplishes. Would be praising their *insert dream QB* if he had done they exact same thing. I'll stand by my view that some Cowboys fans hate Dak so much, that they will be more miserable than those other NFL fanbases, who are supposed to dislike/hate the Cowboys advancing in the playoffs.

Actually saw some Eagles fans giving us credit for overcoming and winning a game that a lot had us losing. So, will truly be upset and miserable if we go deep in the playoffs with Dak. You better believe that some of their were hoping Dak would have a bad enough game to lose against Seattle, just so they could have gloated as say "See, I told you that Dak sucks".

*Yawn*

Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson are outstanding QBs. Deshaun Watson is a highly-touted 1st rounder in his 2nd year.

Dak outplayed them all today.

No he didn’t. Luck picked them apart the whole first half and blew open the lead 21-0 and was pretty much done by the half.

Comparing the conditions of what Romo played under to Dak shows people are absolutely clueless.

Dallas in 2009 basically ran one run play with Garrett ‘successfully’ which was the ‘delayed run draw’. Romo would run the fake slant and hand it off. Basically they were running a “reverse play action” to try and get their RBs yardage, meaning they were trying to run off the threat of Romo’s arm, not because of the capability of the backs. Garrett called it on average 8 times a game.

Comparing Garrett to Linehan is a joke, period.

Romo had his chances. He was a damn good QB but in big games, he was less than clutch, let’s say.
Hard to be clutch with consistently the worst defenses in Cowboys history.

Dak can keep being poor for three quarters while the defense keeps the score low until they can rally late against tired defenses. Romo didn't have that luxury; he had to put up 40 points or else.

I find this post to be very factual insofar as describing the delayed run draw. it was run so often it bordered on redundancy. glad I read thru this thread this morning. then I realized that lost in all the discussion of whether or not dak was clutch (imo he very uber clutch) garrett actually outcoached carroll.

I’d say Schottenheimer was outcoached more so than anybody else.. dude makes Garrett in his worst years look like the next coming..

This game reminds me of a Romo’s game vs Detroit in the playoffs, but Romo’s was better and more clutch.

People talk about Dak’s clutch in the fourth, but hardly mention that Zeke is wearing the defenses down to the point of submission and everything just breaks down.

The run where Zeke got that first with nothing there, when he stuff armed that dude and broke it outside , when up 17-14 with like three minutes to go and he kept it in bounds to keep the clock running is the height of demoralizing.

Then the run in the red-zone they called back on the holding, where Aikman mentioned how broke the Seattle front looked, Zeke netted like 9 yards breaking tackles. By the time Dallas called the draw for Dak on the third and long, Collins was upfield from the 19 to 6, before he met contact with the safety in cover 2. The hole upfront was huge.

that was a great play, even if it was called back. their defense looked gassed. the other thing I love about zeke is how he can run down the sidelines, just a foot inside,, and take shots and not be pushed out of bounds. he intimidates d-backs.

This Romo vs Dak back and forth is the stupidest discussion this early in Dak's career.

Some fans will not like Romo no matter what and some fans will not like Dak no matter what. It is what it is at this point.

There were fans that didn't like Troy Aikman for a long time as well. It took 3 Super Bowl wins for them to come around to liking Aikman.

Barkley May be a better home run hitter, but he also has seven games under 50 yards whil Zeke only has one. Zeje consistently is punishing the front with his power and always moving forward.

Best back in the game by impact. It’s not even debatable.
