I kept reading the media reference point all last week about the last time the Cowboys played the Seahawks in a playoff game. Reminding me of a vile taste that has been there for 12 years. You know the one right. Always in Cowboy lore as "the botched snap" referenced over and over again last week as the starting point. Some would say a single play that would define this team for a decade. The pickup of the botched snap, the rumble, the last gasp effort, to fall 2 yards short. A point that began an era of so close but so far away.

Although that game will forever be the "botched snap game" it can no longer be the reference point as the last time the Cowboys played the Seahawks in the playoffs. The next time will be " when the whirling dervish flew through the air" and the Cowboys beat the Seahawks and destroyed their running game. It's about time that bitter, vile 2006 game is put to rest in my mind, replaced with a W instead of an L. A whirling dervish and defense replacing the botched.

It's about time!!

Amen bretheren!!! Its a new day. Birds are singing, coffee tastes better, food tastes better..sun is rising. LIFE IS GOOD. For me, Daks "helicopter" run up the gut will be the one play that I reflect on in the coming years as THAT play that won the game. Daks signature play if you will. Dude has the heart of a Champion. Not bad for a 4th round pick that nobody gave a chance to.

Agreed. Also, I don’t think that botched snap would have been remembered as much had Romo and team not gone 1 and done the following season as the no 1 seed. Instead, Romo had a run of losses late in the season to our divisional opponents all the way until 2014 which cemented that game as his defining playoff moment.

With this win, that playoff loss in 2016 will not be a defining moment for this team anymore. That’s what a W in the playoffs can do for you.

We owed the Seahawks for that game. They also actually pretty much ended Romo's career by knocking him out of that preseason game in 2016. Hopefully this is a new era of Cowboy football. We can always hope anyway.

True! Cliff Avril and a knee in the back. I'll take the new reference point

No kidding man. We killed their run and killed them with ours. Can we do that 3 more times? Tell you what brother, we won't be favored to and that's just fine with me.

It's scary to watch sometimes. That helicopter move came with a hit right at knee level that spun him. Then the I yard squirt came with a helmet hit to the head. No guts no glory I guess

Daks mental and physical toughness is Steve McNairish. That's gonna give us a chance to win games like this for years to come. Maybe not always pretty..but we will always have a chance with his Moxy.

agree...that's exactly where we wanna be...under the radar and being given no chance in hell of winning. We been in playoff mode for 9 weeks now lol...AND STILL BEING DISRESPECTED and underestimated. The media is filled with blind bias against all things Jerry Jones...its that simple. To give Dallas cred is to give JJ cred...and they simply refuse. At some point they gonna have to admit the facts.

You oughta tape it and watch it later...damage already done one way or the other. lol

Go Cowboys!

I know right! I'm a huge Boston red Sox fan as well. The Sox had a player, Wade Boggs, who was so superstitious that he took the exact same steps from third base to the dugout and dugout to third base. Eventually the grounds keepers put the imprints of his steps into the grass so he could run the same steps. I'm like that with "not" watching and going 8-1. If we make it to the SB, I beef hooked lol

I kept my promise. After the 3-5 start I haven't watched a single game. Now 8-1 with updates during the game only. Takin one for the team and all y'all

I have a friend that talks crap about dallas and says we’re the worst team in the nfl

Recently The only time he didn’t open his mouth we lost 23-0

We were on our way to lose against the giants until he opened his mouth and said “the cowboys are ready to lose this game” and then Prescott throws a whole touchdown pass

JAYFORD, We are starting to see the maturation of Rayne Dakota Prescott before our eyes. HE TOOK OVER THE LAST 2 BALL GAMES WHEN WE NEEDED A HERO. He stepped up yet again. Some guys have "shrinkage" in big moments...but Dak grows giant coconuts when we need it most. HE CRAVES the ball to be put into his hands...the sign of a winner...a leader of men.
