But I though Richard was a god, and would receive offers from every team in the league?

Weird since literally no one, anywhere said anything like that.

He’s a good coordinator, been a god send to this team, and a day after the season ended he had four interviews scheduled. Not getting a job (or any of them) doesn’t discount his value or league interest

maybe Richard told them he wasn't interested.

Good hire. If there's one guy who can turn around Winston, it might be him

Nobody is going to hire Kris Richard to be their HC this off season. Why bother worrying about it?

Not disagreeing with that at all. Just commenting toward the 70% of posters who already have Richard off the team. It could happen, but I'm skeptical.

IIRC, the Jets pretty much have their guy, too (or was in MIA?). Either way, I think we've mostly dodged two of the three bullets on this one so far.

This^^^

They flew to Dallas to interview Richard and to watch how the defense played. They would only do that if they were very serious about hiring him.

They could have come to get free booth seats in Jerry's personal booth. :)

Or the Rooney rule needs to be satisfied.

I can understand the need for the rule but I feel for a coach if he is getting excited and nervous and preparing for an interview that is just a formality.

Arians with Winston is interesting...

...But Winston is already doing exactly what Carson Palmer did in Arizona. Throw it deep, turn the ball over some. I'm not sure there's much more of a ceiling to Winston that Arians is the type of coach to get to. I do think Arians will want a workhorse back like he had with David Johnson though. That type of player could really compliment Winston well, and he hasn't had it.
