Did Garrett answer the 4th-and-1 play question after the game?

On the 4th and 1 when Zek ran up the middle right at Donald and Suh, the QB sneak was wide open to the left of our center. The QB sneak should be an automatic audible in this situation! How come we did not run the QB sneak? Brady does it every time when the defense is aligned like the Ram’s D was.

Because these are things you prepare for in TC and then refresh the week before in practice

This is not something you conjure up at that time, having to take a time out so the opposing defense can get set

When Brady dies it, they do a quick get up to the line and snap not like our morons

This stuff is all on the HC

Dak should’ve made the call. He has to read the defense and audible accordingly.

I mean to an extent he can change the play, maybe to a run somewhere else. Still a stupid play call regardless. However to change it to an entirely different pass play with the clock running down is kinda tough. Without knowing the audibles its tough to put it on dak.

All i know is they can't stop the bootleg with dak and zeke. But you run that play? Thats 90% on linehan.

the Coaches call the play and the defense lines up- They can't talk to the QB once the clock hits 15 right

DAK has to make that call. Bonehead of the year award to Dak!

Great shot of the alignment. It sure looks like there is a gap right there between the tackles for Dak to sneak through but its a full yard he has to get. Looking at the alignment running left was the right call except it requires Looney and Williams to beat Suh and Westbrooks. They didn't. I originally thought Donald was over Williams but he was on the other side of center. What bothers me about this play is the Cowboys had been unable to get anything up the middle all day. They did see some running room outside at times. I never thought running right at the tackle was going to get anywhere. The Cowboys are weak right there and they ran at their own weakness. There are a million plays to get 1 yard and this is the last one I would have called. Dak could have kept it and run around the left end and probably gotten 10 yards.

Connor did a good job on Westbrooks who was out of the play. Looney got stood up by Suh who Zeke runs into. Zeke had the same hole but Suhs leverage changes just as Zeke gets the ball. He was leveraged towards the hole when Zeke got it and then immediately moved to Looneys right.

I just think it is a no brainer for Dak

I honestly think Garrett doesn't give a darn . That's why many try to look at LInehan for the answer .

Does anyone have the video? I would love to look at it more closely. Maybe I can email Garrett and see if he has it. Maybe he doesn;t. LOL

Regarding the post title, you’re in luck... I read the quote last night and was able to remember where I read it so I could retrieve it:

"It's been a signature play for us," Garrett told reporters. "We've been very successful over the years with that idea, double-teaming at the point of attack and giving Zeke a chance to make the yard. He's done that time and time again throughout his career and they did a good job stopping us on that one."
