I know he's a fan favorite here and was continually ticketed as better than Byron(despite many logical explanations to the contra) from those that get sucked into flashy plays once every blue moon.

He's a big reason towards our loss on Saturday.

Luckily the safety market has cratered, and finding an upgrade for Heath should be extremely easy.

Fan favorite?? What? I've been lamenting his position on this team for years, since he and Bruce Carter's infamous give-up play against the Giants. God, how long has that been now?

Have very few problems with Heath other than his tackling this season. Never noticed it as a problem in previous years. Hopefully it was just one of those years like Coopers drop issues in Oakland

We had a decent season and we have a decent roster
Safety is certainly a spot ripe for an upgrade but not sure what’s gonna be there in the late second
We also need a swing tackle since Fleming is likely to leave
We need to improve the DT spot, upgrade at safety and that doesn’t even touch the fact in today’s NFL your offense needs to be able to put up 30 in some games
It’s a nice young team but we sure need to hit big in the middle of this upcoming draft

DJ Swearinger in FAgency....also Earl at FS ..draft a DT..and TE. .
Resign
Dak 15-18 mil
DLaw..
Cooper

Lee- retires
Beasley- sign if cheap or else replace through FA or draft..or Hurns
Swearinger grew irate and tiresome of the ineptness of the skins coaching staff. You really think he’s be able to stomach marinelli stubbornness.

Swearinger expects a lot out of the sideline coordinators. That’s asking too because much for our staff...

On the 2nd play of the game Jeff Heath slips on 2nd and 9 to allow a 1dt down conversion by their TE #89. If you rewatch the game you'll notice a theme pretty quickly.

From DC site, BB, free lancing get you cut in the NFL unless you are a super star
"I initially thought Jeff Heath might have lost the ball, but he was in man coverage on Gerald Everett, who was blocking Tyrone Crawford on the play. Heath could have gambled and just dropped the assignment and gone after Goff but he didn’t. The bigger problem was that they couldn’t get anyone in the flat quick enough to keep Goff from converting."

Not trying to argue but you start with them needing to get a real safety, then give solutions such as moving Awuzie who is..... not a real safety at all.

We need something. There was huge talk when Awuzie was drafted as him being a safety. Heath is not a starting safety. He should be a special teams and spot filler. It's time for this team to up their game.

My question is this: Why does X.Woods get a pass? Heath made a lot more plays than Woods did. If you want to say, "we need to replace all the safeties," I'm okay with that. But don't just single out Heath and say "Woods was fine." Neither of them had a positive impact on the defense.

Move Heath and Woods to second string by finding their replacements.
