Any reason to believe Dak era will surpass Romo era?

I was fine with our top 10 QB and offense. I felt it was our bottom tier defense holding us back.

Now I feel it’s our 22nd ranked offense and QB holding back our top 10 defense .

I really like the defense but until they start forcing more turnovers and game changing plays they’ll never be elite. Just forcing punts isn’t good enough.
It should be if the offense was more explosive. Even if offense was slightly above average.

Not sure why fans are so supportive of our offensive production? I guess because we have a couple stars? IDK

Because the team was built to run the ball not be explosive. Zeke does not get those long TDs anymore. If they were drafting QBs and WRs in the first rounds I’d expect them to be more explosive. Drafting RB and OL means they want to be ball control. I’m fine with that strategy but the run game has to produce. That’s where they spent their money so those guys can’t be getting shut down. Not sure why that’s hard to see.

There’s many teams in the league with good/great defense that aren’t explosive. There’s also explosive offenses with not great defenses.

That’s fine during the regular season beating average to below average teams but in the playoffs one dimensional teams are exposed.

A more prolific passing QB would greatly compliment our running attack.

Then it would be the same.

There are plenty fans who cheer for very specific players over the team.

Someone as recent as DB comes to mind.
That’s fine as long as they present themselves as such. It not then their agendas or preference can be exposed in discussions.

They don’t get turnovers and don’t help the offense get good field position. The defense is solid and young......but it was never as great as people made it.

If this dysfunctional organization couldn’t build a good enough team around Romo why do we believe they will around Dak?
yes they've done more the last 3 years which is Dak and Zeke era then Romo did in 10.. I luv Romo, wish he was still here, but your questions has to be answered yes..theyve turned this team nearly completely over and in 3 yrs are at least as good but given time could be better..theyve already reached the Romo era and the windows opening not closing on the NEW Team and players..3rd youngest team in the league and given Lee might be gone will be even younger..theyve just started haven't they, stop aligning Dak and Zeke with past coaches and teams players..

This defense would be good enough if we had a more prolific offense but it’s not great enough to carry it any further than it did.

It needs the offense help to control time of possession.

And there’s many games which shouldn’t be as close as they but our struggles in Redzone keep the games within reach for lesser opponents. And often require a heroic comeback.
