I don't think Dak can improve a whole lot in the current scheme he is in.

Dak's talent is in his mobility.

That is where he needs to improve and it will come from the coaching staff convincing him to run instead of forcing a tight window throw and just do more roll outs.

This...he needs to be in a system with more designed roll outs and get him moving. He isn't a pure pocket guy.

Dak's deep ball is the least of his problems honestly. Not because it's amazing or anything, but because it's not actually THAT important.

Pocket awareness, and the timing and precision of his short to medium passes, are much more important areas to improve.

Aren't stats numbers? Ya got some stats that aren't numbers? And Will, best to not throw around the lie word so freely, posters can be mistaken or wrong but not lying.

Here's the problem with Dak and it been there all along, which is why he could never take the job from a healthy QB going back to high school. He can make all of the throws, and we've seen him do that with pinpoint accuracy. However, he's inconsistent and will miss easy throws like he did to Gallup on the sideline with a lot of green in front of him and threw behind him and Cooper on the crossing when all he had to do was lead him but he threw high and behind him. Those were easy throws for a NFL QB. Those are plays that have to be made.

I don't look at stats with Dak or many QB's, I watch them play and one thing I have noticed about Dak is that he's lucky. He gets a lot of picks dropped or that stat sheet would look different. That game in LA could have been a lot different, a lot worse.

I am not saying he's a bad QB but when he denies what he truly is, a dual threat QB that needs to make the D fear his legs as well, he is not close to being the best QB, he is not a Tier 1 QB. If he were not the Dallas Cowboys QB, he wouldn't get near the discussion he gets, same as Romo. Just getting the job gets the coverage.

The only way the Cowboys are going to win a championship with him is to build the right team around him, OL, run game and D. But that's not disrespecting him, most of the QB's in the league need that. Brees and Rodgers are Tier 1 and each have 1 ring. Flacco and Manning are Tier 2 and each have 2 rings because of the teams put around them.

There is far too much discussion about one player here in the ultimate team sport.
