Bye Felinehan ..

Despite a quarterback who is at least above-average in Dak Prescott and arguably the best running back in the game in Ezekiel Elliott, Dallas had one of the most simplistic and uncreative offenses in the NFL.

After Linehan was axed after four seasons guiding the Cowboys offense, several anonymous Cowboys players said he added "nothing" to the offense.

Harsh? Well, not really.

Even with the midseason kick in the butt Amari Cooper provided, Dallas was a below-average offense. They ranked 22nd in points scored, 22nd in total yards, and 23rd in passing yards. Despite having Elliott in the backfield, they just barely cracked the top 10 in rushing yards.

With Linehan finally gone, we will finally get to see what Prescott will look like in a more creative, innovative offense.

I always appreciate honesty over some politically correct, sensitive bull****. Give me the truth every time.

If it was that bad then I wonder why players didn’t go to JJ. He is a players owner that says his door is always open to his players. Now we are “hearing” that JG wanted him gone last year. Maybe that’s why JJ gave Linehan more input into the Offense. Kind of like here is enough rope to hang yourself with.

I was hoping the Amari trade was the enough rope clause for Garrett.

I don't think they had too. When the team was 3-5 they fired Paul Alexander and traded for Amari Cooper. You can't fire an OC in the middle of a season, there is just no way to install a new offense on the fly. But they did everything they could to minimize his position by giving Garrett, Dak and Moore "input" into the offense.

Everyone knew it, even Aikman was saying publicly that the Blake Jarwin crossing routes where added by Garrett.

by the way where are the "dez is the cancer" folks? i dont remember these types of comments coming from the players after he was cut. in fact the players were seen hanging out with him many times! lions castoff linehan was the problem. dez spoke the TRUTH. it's time to bring him back and let bygones be bygones.

After the way he went off about "Garrett guys" I don't think that's an option as long as he remains HC.
