Fans put up with Linehan for several years and complained about his offense consistently. Most of us want to see an aggressive, exhaustive coaching search and hire that brings in a proven, qualified OC that has the system and approach that really maximize's Dak's strengths as a QB.

Granted-- Kitna is being listed for some vague role involved with the QB, but when they toss out names that have already been here, it just gives the appearance that the FO is not doing it's due diligence and going through a competitive process and is instead calling their buddies up on their cell phone from the golf course and asking if they want a job.

Just looks unprofessional and rushed.

You obviously have not seen Kitna's work with the San Diego Fleet.

Believe this may have been one of the highlights

They operate with an insular closed system-- trusting only people who they know and have worked with before in some capacity. Most organizations actually look at things like "resumes", "qualifications", "results", and "proven track records" and conduct "interviews" and work candidates through things called "a hiring process".

Not Dallas though... We love to glad-hand and give jobs to guys we're friends with. If you always put results behind relationships-- you run the risk of always failing with people you like to hang out with.

I mean it’s not out of the ordinary for an existing staff to hire coaches they’re familiar with. I think you will have a hard time finding many staffing hires around the NFL that didn’t resemble some level of familiarity. After all...Kitna is the guy who helped Garrett get this job after filling in admirably for Romo during Garrett’s interim stint. He also came out of retirement when Dallas was in a tough spot a few years after that.

If this was a HC search...you may have a point. But teams don’t typically conduct a bunch of interviews to fill out an existing staff.

Seriously, what if Kellen Moore becomes the new OC because Dak Prescott advocated for him? Would everyone finally hate Prescott like he deserves to be hated?
What if Kellen Moore does become the new OC and lights it up for Dak and this Offense in 2019? Will you finally give both some love?

It is from Crap-report and people are freaking out.

However, I can see this as a huge plus. If Kitna can help the QB's, something Moore did not do. Note...I said "did" not do, for the Moore fans. not "could" not do....meaning, he his still learning. So learn from Kitna. Let Moore do his film processing as I been hammered about that is his only job.

Any way, I think it would be great. Then hire an OC from the outside still.
Maybe the OC they have in mind suggested to bring in Kitna. As I said the other day, a new OC may want his own guy to help.

Why not Drew Henson? He had a couple snaps in the NFL. Clint Stoener is probably available.

This organization is such a goat rodeo. Is it too much to ask that Moore be downgraded to a quality control position to at least learn about the league and coaching and then hire a seasoned QB coach to work with your young QB.

Is Garrett threatened? Are the Joneses really this stupid. What the hell with this team.

It's happening.

Fast rising and impressive.

Bathe in it.

It's happening...Crap-report finally lost the rest of his mind...

I think he is trolling this site, to get everyone riled up.

If this does happen, Jerry will have added another Puppet HC in training. As we will now have adopted grandson as OC in training.
Jason gets to keep his scheme. Jerry remains as true HC and still senile. Stephen in Smile Jr. for allowing it to happen.

We will be DOOMED!

I actually think Kitna is solid and could be good in time. Certainly better than Moore who had absolutely no qualifications to be a coach in the NFL. Still, why Kitna? Why can’t they find an experienced coach?

well at least maybe they wont give any of the coaches extensions so they have to coach for their jobs and when they miss the playoffs finally they will do what should of been done in 2015 and clean house
