Jeebus H Christmas, we went from bringing Kitna in for some undefined role with the QB's to moving Moore up to passing game coordinator, OC and HC material in 20 seconds flat. Talk about making sheeeeit up and not good sheeeit either:muttley::facepalm:

Hey, gotta complain about this now because if you wait until you find out Moore isn’t going to be the OC you will have missed the chance!

I actually like Kitna. He'd probably be a decent QB coach/consultant whatever.

I'm guessing Moore is designated note-taker.

I wonder if we hear about OC after the games today.

Yeah, probably. Moore's the QB coach. If they aren't promoting him then they either have to demote him to a ridiculous assistant QB coach role or get rid of him. I don't see either happening.

If they're bringing in someone to work with the QBs I can only assume Moore's getting promoted.

We're all assuming and I assume Moore will be demoted to piano player at half time ;)

What in

Its not a bad thing at all. This is like when the team signs a player to kick the tires on at trading camp and people get mad they didn’t sign an elite free agent. This would be just be allowing Kitna to pass along some of what he learned from playing 18 years in the NFL, and wouldt affect who they hire to fill the OC position.

I'm not sure why I have to hold your hand and help you understand basic math

1+1=2

The way good organizations work is that they hire an OC and allow him to pick his staff so that his philosophy is taught to the QB

In their infinite wisdom, our FO continues to stupidly pick the OC (Garrett) before the HC (Wade) and now pick the QB coach and a QB 'mentor' before the OC. That is the height of stupidity and is a reason why either no good OC will come here or fail if they are stupid enough to come

The fact that people such as yourself continuous crawl out of the woodwork to blindly defend this stupidity says more about you than anything else

In fact, we have to complain about something. I started the day not complaining about anything except the frigid cold temperatures here and in no time flat I'm belly achin bout Moore. I still think we should promote him to the half time piano player like his father, Dudley Moore . See what I did there? Changed belly achin into humor

I actually think Kitna is solid and could be good in time. Certainly better than Moore who had absolutely no qualifications to be a coach in the NFL. Still, why Kitna? Why can’t they find an experienced coach?

Glad you ask lol....I'm guessing they've decided NOT to extend Garrett, allowing to coach 2019 lame-duck. Have said this is many threads, they'd be hard pressed to attract QUALITY coaches to work for a lame-duck coach. I think fans sometimes forget coaches have families also and they want as much security as we do.

I agree on Kitna. JJ did say "things can change or open up in 2 weeks". Hard to quote JJ and his whiskey slur lol. I'm holding on to a 2 week "process":muttley:

So far they haven’t even said Kitna is going to be on staff. There has only been a report that he might “work with players”. When they hire staff you read about job interviews and candidates. So far this sounds like nothing more than all the times the Cowboys have had former players work with the team during training camp.

But hey, why wait and see what this actually means when we can let our imagination run wild and make up whatever we want? This is a prime opportunity to complain because the scenarios we can fabricate in our minds are unbounded.

He was too close to Linehan, he's gotta go

Heck, he's an extension of Linehan. A tag along of the guy for the entirety of what you would call an NFL career. If not for Linehan, Moore would be nowhere near the NFL.

I have to wonder, if these are the moves and names being mentioned now, who would want to sign on for this?

This has all the earmarks of a 'no change at all', status quo move that will result in nothing more than an internal hire that they will try to sell as "change".

50-74 as a starter in his career, including 4-5 in Dallas.
He played on some terrible Seahawk and Bengal teams.

QBs can play well on bad teams right?

So hard to define on this board. Cowboys lose, we get hella excuses for Dak here.
