Do you honestly believe we are that far off?

Based on what I saw in the Rams's/Saints we aren't

Even with JG as our HC

Even with Dak as our QB

Even with JJ as our owner

Even with Kitna as the QB coach

AND the possibility of Mini Me Moore as our OC

We aren't that far behind McVay/Goff, Payton/Brees and the Rams/Saints.

I think they have the vast majority of the players they need to both get to a Superbowl and win one, however, coaching matters a TON in the NFL and I can't see a JG coached team winning a Superbowl, irregardless, of how much talent is there.

If we had a new HC? We wouldn’t be far at all. Sadly, once they hire Moore jones puppets, we will get Moore if the same

We probably have the talent to win. It's all about being consistent when it counts. We can be 13-3 and everyone still expects us to be one-and-done in the playoffs. We haven't proven anyone wrong yet. You can't blame it on Dak. It was the same when we had Romo. I don't even know if you can blame it on Garrett. There were 10+ years before him. Either we're cursed or something is broken and flipping coordinators won't fix it.

I agree. Saints offense scored more than 23 points, TWICE in their final 7 games. After they came here they were never the same.

Cowboys did it 4 times over that time I believe

We advanced exactly one game less than the Saints and it took a 57 yard field goal for the Rams to beat them. C'mon guys! We have a kicker and a QB who can throw for 250 yards and a kicker who can kick a FG of 57 yards. That was not a coaching miracle in any way. Nor was it a QB miracle, or a RB miracle. That was Cowboy football and we should have been playing that game. We could have beaten either one DESPITE our HC, QB, kicker and defense. Could have and should have

Have you seen the Pats game? Yeah we very far off. In fact we aren’t even on the same planet as they are. Then again, nobody really is this time of the year with them.

Light years in coaching. For example, in the Playoff loss, the Rams before the half expired had a long pass play and were able to get their entire team down field and "clock" it to allow a long FG attempt. How many times have the Cowboys had to waste a t/o or take a delay of game penalty late in the half or worse, following a t/o? Coaching is the key.

Do you honestly believe we are that far off?

The defense that took the field versus the Rams was not the defense that took the field versus the Seahawks or the Eagles or the Saints or most of the other teams we faced this season.

Had they been, our offense gets 2, 3, maybe even 4 more possessions, and I really like the odds that the results would have been reversed.

So, answering the question, I think, for all of the offensive myopia of fans now and always... the question is we're already there, and just need to get more consistent on both sides of the ball.

In terms of player personnel?

No, we can play with anybody.

In terms of decision-making and coaching?

Yes, absolutely yes.
