Josh McDaniels

-----If you are serious about winning, why do you fire a Head Coach with a winning record who clearly has the respect of the players?

Because we are serious about winning more than just a Wild card game.

---------Two weeks ago that was "win a game in the playoffs" and a month before that it was "make the playoffs".

But until the bar got severely lowered over the years, it was reach the NFC Championship game.....PLEASE do not tell me that you think the bar has been unfairly raised on The Clapping Carrot.

If you are serious about winning, why do you fire a Head Coach with a winning record who clearly has the respect of the players?

Because said head coach has two playoff wins in 8 years. At what point does playoff success matter? Or does it never matter as long as Garrett ranks last in winning percentage of coaches that have been coaching as long as he has?

That being said I wouldn’t touch McDaniels with a ten foot pole.

Mcdaniels is a ****** bag that actually advocated drafting Tim Tebow. Belicheck makes him look like ten times the coach he actually is. He's just another Patriots assistant that will fail when they take over their own team.
Yeah ok. He makes up all these little plays for Brady. The guy is amazing and single handedly won the SB against the Falcons. Go back and watch all the play calling especially late in the game. It's all done by his design.

Stephen says Jerry is serious about winning. Ok, Jerry.....you should now see what it takes.....you back up the Brinks truck for McDaniels, and get rid of that red headed goof ball that we've had to endure for almost 10 wasted seasons. We are currently a LONG ways off from what we saw today in both games!!!
I had this same thread two weeks ago. Most repo fees po po’d it. Hire this man now. He is the future of football. Calls a perfect game.

You overrate McDaniels.

He’s also arrogant to a fault.

Let’s also note that the Belichick family tree is light on success stories, especially offensive coaches. Very good chance Brady makes McDaniels like he did Weis, etc.

Worked for Tampa

He was like 54-42 (56%). left and they won a SB
And that coach proceeded to completely dismantle that team while failing to identify a starting QB (or assemble any level of talent on his own) eventually walking of into the sunset to the broadcasting booth and bamboozling the entire planet into thinking he was a football genius.

It worked. there are still fools that think he's a football God while he's actually destroying the franchise he's currently in control of by dealing away the best two players (both high 1st rounders) on his roster for a couple of late 1st round picks and a prayer that he might find two more to replace 50% of their production.

Sounds like a solid plan.

This is one of those threads you want to ignore, but don't...looking at the train wreck.

You still think all that **** works with anyone other than Brady at QB? If so, you're as gullible as the next stupid ******* to hire the guy. He'll fall flat on his face when he leaves New England. Book it.

Better get Jerry to re-open his wallet and bring along Brady as Mcdaniels without Brady is well a McDonald's without the Big Mac.....

He won them a super bowl against ATL. He won with the worst QB in the history of the league. He's actually underrated.

Matt Cassel

The guy they fired won a Super Bowl in his next job. Also if I spent the time checking, I bet I could find ten examples that went south for this one example that worked out.
maybe, but precedent was set......also went from Brad Johnson to Peyton Manning, but whatever

Here is what they don’t tell you... They’re serious about winning but not serious enough to win unless it’s their own way.

They don’t value coaching.
No argument from me on that one.

He won what? He went 8-8 year one.

Then went 3-9 the next season.

That idiot McDaniels used Denver’s first round pick on Tebow as well. LOL.
