Romo passes on the question of what Cowboys must do to take the next step

Garrett. Obviously.

It's obvious to everyone except the homers and Jerry.
Is it?

You don’t think it’s possible that he thinks the biggest thing holding this team back is QB play?

If he thought so then that is a question he has to avoid. He would look bad talking negatively about Dak.

I put this in another thread, but it was meant for this one:

He could be wondering many things, but I'm going to guess he passed because it has to do with either the guy coaching the team, or the guy who replaced him.
Or the owner. There are many things he could believe, and it's possible he simply doesn't feel like he knows the answer....but of course, everyone here knows the "real" answer.

We can find moments where Tony has been complimentary of Dak.

When it comes to Garrett it's been crickets.
Well unless u r a TO u tend to give an answer that does not say that someone sucks does not have it. I doubt we ever see Romo badmouth anyone so I would agree that he believes the problem is either Garrett or Dak. I would be willing to bet that he has discussed both Garrett and Dak one on one with Jerry though, Guaranteed that conversation has taken place with no such public pleasantries.

Never mind. Your making stuff up now.

What do you mean?

Garrett has had great QB play and he still failed.

He's had every team possible and he can't get past the 2nd round.

He hasn't accidentally gone 10 years coaching this team and had the lack of success he's had.

Romo knows it, Cowboys players know it, most Cowboy fans know it, and only the homers and Jones's deny it.

We had a team good enough to win it all in 2014. Garrett gets credit for that. Romo knows that team was good and he knows Garrett was the coach.

I doubt Romo looks back on his career and thinks he never had a chance because Garrett was his coach.

That’s a loser mentality. That’s Internet forum poster mentality.

Again, you don’t think there is any way he is thinking Dak Prescott when asked that question?

Garrett? Jerry? What is he thinking here?

I suspect he is thinking that whatever he might say would just open him to having his words twisted and taken differently than he intends because of his connection to the Cowboys. For example, if he specified something the team isn't doing well some might view it as sour grapes since he wasn't given his job back after the injury, and others might view it as a sharp condemnation of Jerry from someone that knows the situation firsthand, and the true story might be that it was simple commentary similar to what he might make with any team. Romo is a smart guy, and he has more than once had his words and actions twisted by the media and fans over the years, so he knows how it can go.

Time has told us what Garrett is. No need to argue against it.

Coaching matters.

Tony for President!
That's Too Funny, as I'd briefly entertained the mentioning of that very same thought,,, er,,, till a quick tabulated run down of ALL the AGAINST votes #9 would receive, JJ Watt being first on the list,,,er,,,and then quickly lost interest in the mental projecto_O
