2014 was great, we had the catch, but we didn’t have a defense. We had a good run game and Dez played out of his mind but we were incomplete.

2007 we had a good defense, we had it all. Romo played good enough to win that game. We had the Fasano TD drop, TO dropped a key 3rd down pass, Crayton hesitates on his route. Secondary was a bit suspect at times. Coaches had no adjustments.

2007 was his best year and best chance to win it all. We went 13-3, had the bye. I wanted another shot at those Cheateriots.....

Giants just went on one of the luckiest runs in NFL history. It helped that there pass rush went all historical too. Cowboys vs undefeated patriots would've been crazy

Old Wade had camp cup cake fired up. Nice relaxing environment for everyone. Tony and the boys in Mexico. No edge to them. Perfect recipe for a well coached team to come into your building and win. That’s exactly what happened. Idiots. All of them. Witten must have thought the playoffs was an annual event. Wrong.

Yeah I’ve never agreed with this narrative. Romo played well, he wasn’t the reason three receivers let him down....

I don’t blame Romo for it all. It was the whole organization buying into its greatness prematurely. Maybe Romo needed to be Superman that day. He wasn’t. Everything was too comfortable in Dallas and they will never live that one down. Fair or not it is true.

Maybe, maybe not . We gave up less yds and less points than they did. The did finish #1 in sacks with 53 and we were 3rd with 46.

I think the 07 team was our best team since 95. Out of our tough Ls, that was the toughest one for me because I knew that was our best team since 95 and knew there was no guarantee we would have that chance again. That was my worst temper tantrum I ever threw. Lol started up the pit and threw my T.O. jersey, cowboy hat and cowboy sweater in the pit. Lol told my 5 yr old son we were going to be patriot fans because I'm tired of rooting for a losing team. It was a bad night for me.

To me that narrative separates the fans into two classes: casual and in tune...

He'd be the first to tell you that he was a WAY better QB in 2014 than in 2007--which was his first full year as a starter.
I do think the 2007 overall team was the best he was on. TO got hurt at the end of the year, the oline was starting to have some issues, and Romo and the whole team wasn't really peaking. It's one reason why Wade told them to get as far away from Valley Ranch as possible during the bye week, to recharge.

But yes, Crayton had two really terrible plays in that playoff game. And the next to last play of the game should have been the game-winner for Dallas. Perfect, clutch, game-winning pass that didn't connect because the WR pulled up.

The Patriots were better than Dallas that year, though.
And Romo was a better QB in 2014

Mentally he arrived but physically was passed.. He needed a wall to sit back there and wait for routes to develop.

Just didn't all line up for him timing-wise-- physically, mentally and team-wise...all in tandem.

2013-2015 was his best chance if they had put more resources into the defense because by those years, he was a complete QB and had full understanding of the position. 2012 Draft hurt so much...they went all in on Claiborne. He had to have been the second coming of Deion to be worth a Top-10 pick AND a 2nd rounder
