While Dallas ponders the contracts for Cooper, Zeke, Dak, Byron, Tank, Jaylon, and possibly Earl Thomas or another high-priced free agent.....

The Patriots win with nobody.

Aside from Gilmore and Chung, who are the highly-paid stars on New England defense? No big names on the defensive line. No real linebackers who are stars outside of maybe Hightower.

No big-name wideouts. Running back by committee. Gronk misses half their games.

The Patriots keep doing this with a constant churn on their roster, rarely paying anybody with big contracts. They spent money on their secondary this year, but that's pretty much it.

Belichick is just ahead of everyone. Time after time, he beats these star-studded teams with his band of gypsies, tramps, and thieves.

Kansas City was held scoreless until halftime. The Rams were held to 3 points for a game. The Chargers got run off the field in nothing flat.

And let's face it, Tom Brady is a shadow of his former self.

In a league supposedly wrought with "parity" and salary-cap restrictions, the Patriots have put up the greatest dynasty of all time. And I hate them, so that's hard to say.

It's as if Belichick could take the Bills next year, and they'd win the Super Bowl. He's just that much better.

He would destroy the league with that roster. Are you kidding?

Mayfield, Chubb, Landry, Garrett, etc?

He'd win a title in 2-3 years.
Except the Browns...

He means when he was the browns coach in the 90’s. Which, oh by the way, he is the last coach to win 11 games with them. So he even had success there.

He has not won without Brady. So how do we know what he would do if he was somewhere else? He did not look like a world beater in his 1st HC job.

Exactly, he had the Browns trending upward quickly.

That is so Cleveland to have fired him.

I get frustrated because they make it look so easy. The Patriots did not look great during the regular season at all. All 5 of their losses (Detroit, Jacksonville, Miami, etc.) came against teams that didn't even make the postseason.

They somehow were able to secure the bye, and basically just win from there.

He pretty much won without Brady yesterday and shut that debate down.

Brady could retire right now, and I'd bet he could win another title within 5 years.

He won 11 games with Matt Cassel for crying out loud.

We could only manage one win (against the Commanders) with Cassel :lmao:

Dude got benched in favor of Kellen Moore here!

Except the Browns...

Art Modell relocated the team to Baltimore in 1996 and Bill was subsequently fired. It wasn't because of his coaching.

He turned that franchise around so much that it sparked a documentary. They were 11-5 and made it to divisional in 95'.

You need to go back and review what he did in Cleveland. Worst mistake they ever made.

I saw what he did in Cleveland. Nothing to review Cleveland was winning in 1988 and and 89, bad season in 90. He had 1 season above 500 and his last 5-11. Fact is he has not won jack without Brady that is fact not spin. Brady has led many comebacks that is on him. I give Belicheck his dues but it is a lot easier winning with a QB like Brady who has pulled their butts out of the fire on many occasions. Now one more time what has Belicheck won without Brady as his QB?

That franchise was the AFC Central in 88 and won in 89 as well. They fell off in 90 under Bud Carson and Carson was fired. However 1 season over 500 and then back to 5-11

Belichick is a witch, for sure. He’s got a generational QB there as well. He does it with good, but not great, personnnel, otherwise. It’s crazy how much better they are than everyone else.
