I used to do a lot of Astrophotography, but time has been an issue since I moved.

I haven't taken any in a while.

These are the two best ones I've ever taken. I took both of them from the dark skies in New Mexico. (don't get skies like that in the suburbs of New York City...)

This is M31, or the Andromeda Galaxy.

This is M45, or The Pleiades aka The Seven Sisters.

Not a shutterbug and not by any stretch a photographer.

I run about 150:1 shot to good shot ratio.

But I do like to take pictures.

Yeah.taking pics is fun. I used to use a digital cannon. Then did a stop motion project (which took about a week) and ended up throwing down the camera in frustration. Oh my gosh....what the hell was I thinking. That is the most difficult and frustrating thing you can do in film,without using motion control. Just one missed frame,and you have to start over from begining. Haven’t shot since,and I really took some cool photos. It’s a lot of fun. Always had that feeling of stealing a cookie out of the jar. Now,I just take photos with my iPhone,and don’t really care.

Lunkin, your pics aren't coming up for me. Anybody else having this issue?

Also, my brother-in-law does Astrophotgraphy and is really good at it. If I can get a hold of some of his work I will post it.

I'm not a photographer by any stretch of the imagination but it has always kind of interested me. I love a good photo. I feel like I have taken some decent photos in my day but I always get lost in the post-editing part of it.
