Don't know where you got that idea, but everything stated by the XFL is the exact opposite. In fact they specifically said that they wanted nothing to do with the NFL as a developmental or minor league in partnership with them.

The NFL views the XFL as a threat - not a serious threat yet - but enough that they quickly cobbled together the AAF with the mandate that they start up a year before the XFL.
I wanna
Thank you for bringing me up to the base level of insightful knowledge:thumbup:,as I'd really hadn't been even trying to keep current,,,also,,, that halfway explains the timely stench of yellow flag ZEBRA awards I've noticed:confused:

Yeah, he had his moments this last preseason.

Looking over the Commanders' roster there are a ton of familiar faces.

I am just amazed that the great Dustin Vaughan couldn't win a starting job. Shocked!

And I haven't seen Escobar making that huge impact yet. I'm sure they're saving him.

Both teams in this game are using their back-up plan at QB.

San Antonio QB (and former Cowboy) Dustin Vaughn apparently isn't 100%.

San Diego drafted Josh Johnson with the #1 overall pick but lost him to the Commanders.

Isn't this their first week? How are you "not 100%"?

I see.

I guess I need to sign up for the AAF app so I get the most updated information.

They announced it in the beginning of the broadcast.

The Orlando defense seems like they have a
bunch of NFL guys. Will Hill..Ronald Powell. How has their defense looked?

They can make money without stopping the game 70 times. They do it because we've become conditioned to it.

The 3rd richest sports league in the world is the English Premiership. There are no TV time outs in soccer.
And that's why they're not the richest sports league!

Give me ads all over the field, stadium, and jerseys versus 2 hours of TV time outs all day and twice on Sunday.
I have never understood the charm.

So I am a company. I want my patch on that jersey. Okay.

What is the big deal? Why would it mean a huge exchange of consideration and at some point, cash?

How often are you influenced by stuff like that? How about how a stadium is branded?

I am sorry. Maybe there is something wrong with me, but I just don't find myself being so easily influenced by a logo and/or brand label.

I don't give a rip who the moment is sponsored by.

I chuckled at a Bud Light commercial on Sunday.

That does not mean I am intellectually stunted and will now start to buy that product.

And?

The XFL is a year behind and I am only guessing, not nearly as well funded.

Don't hate on the AAF for getting a product up and ready before the 'rasslin guy.

I'm not hating on the AAF at all. I'm rooting for both new leagues to succeed - and I'll be watching both.

I'd feel better if I thought the NFLs commitment to the league was more sincere, but I suspect it's not.

This is about as sincere of a commitment as you will see.

The XFL will be a joke in comparison.
