I posted this in another thread. Loved the break down.

Cowboys nation is starving for a championship. It doesn’t matter who’s at qb we all want to be called super bowl champions again. We criticized Romo. We criticize dak. We’ll criticize the next guy but we can all agree we just want to win a damn title again lol

I think if you do it know you can get something done around 20 mil
Some wlll day he’s not worth that, some will say he could get more on the open market
Probably both are true but with the market what it is that’s certainly a fair deal for the team and structure could allow him to get more or get out in time for easily another prime age deal

I don’t advocate a Rodgers like deal or even a cap killing Romo contract but 5-110 sounds good to me.

That seems fair to me. Cowboys will likely have to offer more guaranteed money with that kind of deal but that should be fine.

I wonder how Dak feels being the only QB whose contract negotiations is everybody's business. I don't recall this hystria over any other QB or any other player in the league. Dak is the only player expected to accept less than the market bears. He hasn't even had a big payday yet, but he's already expected to make concessions. I hope there is a happy medium. Dak isn't the worst QB ever like some think, but it's also OK to admit that he's not the best ever either. The truth is somewhere in the middle. He is a proven leader and winner. That's a great start.

I was just about to post a similar post. The price of being the QB for Americas team I guess.

It's disturbing how all of Dak's contract negotiating "numbers" have nothing to do with throwing a football...what could go possibly go wrong?

LOL....probably coz he wins games. At the end of the day, I think you'll agree, that's what really counts.

You probably agree with the Dak and Tebow are similar players takes don't you?
They are not exactly the same but yes, they are similar quarterbacks. Tebow was a much better passer in college than Dak largely because of the system and talent he had around him... conversely, if Dak was drafted by say, the Browns he would already be a backup in the AAF.

There is literally nothing about this post that makes sense.

One, yes, the top QBs in the league have their contracts and contract negotiations scrutinized. This isn't a unique situation to Dak. There was coverage of what the Eagles and Nick Foles would do (pick up the option, would Foles then opt out, is Philly going to tag and trade him, etc.).

Two, the coverage of his contract isn't even that bad.

Three, yes, fans and media often think a player should sign a team friendly deal. This again, isn't unique to Dak.

Dak is no victim here.

Of course all the Cowboy haters want Dallas to pay Dak. Serves their purpose.

He didn't have to make the Tom Brady salary comments last week, could have just said that his new contract was between the team and his agent to deal with. But he didn't. He opened this can of worms. Like it or not, now he has to deal with the fallout from it.

Don't like the people talking about it myself, but no national commentators we talking about this before Dak himself said what he said.
