Wait til Denver cuts Case Keenum and you will have a Dak clone. Except you could probably get him for 12 mil a season.

Depends how bad I needed the $10 million.

Those giant inflatable slides that you attach to the side of your yacht aren't cheap.

Just curious. If you were the GM, would anyone else consider Tyrod Taylor from the Browns if you could get him for 12-15 million per year? You could use the extra cap space to stack talent around him and load up of defense. Or, would you simply pay the cost for Dak? This is not a Dak bashing post. Just wondering what your thoughts are.
Taylor is exactly the kind of guy you could replace Dak with and not miss a beat. They both try to protect the ball (Taylor is essentially tied with Aaron Rodgers for being the hardest QB to pick off in NFL history) and know how to play off of a strong running game. Dak is a bit more proficient as a passer while Taylor is the more effective runner, but they are both dual threat guys.
Of course as someone else hinted, why pay either when you can just draft a guy who will make for their whole contract what those guys will make annually... with the potential to actually be halfway decent as well.

Taylor just because i wont bind my fate to a medicore qb.

With that contract that you suggested i could get rid of him after 2 years. That should be enough to find and raise a franchise qb.

Some of our fans are losing their minds...

Let Dlaw go, let Byron Jones go, let dak and zeeke go... Great plans guys!

It only sounds crazy because you conveniently left off the second part.

... and draft their All-Pro replacements in the draft.
or
...and replace them with FAs that will sign a team friendly deal just to become Dallas Cowboys.
or
... and we won't even miss a beat, we got Rico!

What part?

Taking unnecessary sacks, lead the league and the O-Line was not terrible as this stat would indicate
Not running when the open lane is there right in front if him
Not throwing when he's looking right at the open receiver
Not reading too well pre-snap
Not scanning the field with time, or gives up on the wr too soon
Doesn't move up in pocket or maneuver too well if he senses pressure
Doesn't utilize the read option too well when the defenses sell on Zeke almost every time

Yes I'm aware every QB does this, but it's easy to see even without the All-22 footage that there are glaring weakness. Let the DB play off, have a perfectly clean pocket, and it's easy for Dak. It's when the pressure is there do we get too many "wth" moments of what exactly is he doing. Some of those weakness are less extreme than the others, and I'm not saying Dak doesn't do anything right.
This is where we as fans think we know more then the team. Everything you said is true. But every QB has this types of plays. But just because it happens doesn’t mean that every time it happens is because of the things you just posted.

There’s plenty of interviews and articles about how bad this ol has been the past 2 seasons.

If it’s so easy to see without all22 then you should see Dak is very good at pre snap. He changes a lot of plays but the problem has been, and you have griped about this...the offense has been predictable. Teams aren’t fooled and there have been countless players who have said this too.

Ever think just maybe this is the biggest reason Linehan is no longer on this team? You can read the defense change the play but if ur system and adjustments are so robotic and predictable how are you going to be successful as a offense?

There’s a reason the team was almost unstoppable when they go hurry up and that’s because the opposing team really doesn’t know what’s gonna come because they’re not getting the time to review and react to what the team is showing.

You need to get over your hate for this QB. He’s been playing very good since Cooper was brought in. And seemed to even get better once Linehan stopped being the focal point of the play calling.

The one reason I like to participate in Foles vs Wentz threads is because if we chose Foles, we'd be choosing him PLUS all the draft pick we get for Wentz.

What are you spending the 10m$ savings on that will bridge the gap between perennial pro bowl QB Dak and Cleveland Browns backup Tyrod?

That's like asking me if I'd rather have a hamburger for $50 or a hotdog for $25. Either way I'm getting ripped off.

LOL @ Dak slobberers describing Dak as a perennial Pro bowler. You think they would at least wait a few years for us to forget that he was a fill in for a fill in for a fill in.

Dak statistically is the exact same caliber of QB as Tyrod Taylor, and nationally Dak is viewed as the same type of QB. Dak slobberers turn their nose up at Taylor (ignorantly), but yet they can't understand why Dak isn't viewed as a god.

Good question. For the record, I like Dak despite his flaws and would lean toward paying him.

However, if saving $10 million in cap space helps me add Earl Thomas and maybe a Gerald McCoy (possible cap casualty/scheme change), plus pay DLaw, Amari, Byron, and Zeke, I would give it some serious thought.
