lol. All those ESP premonition posts and threads of a certain ex-player returning to 'save' the franchise were about the wrong guy.

Man this guy is maybe the slowest TE in the league. I’m fine with him on red zone and 3&5 or less but damn man as a full time guy? Makes us so much less dynamic and that much more predictable. I pray to god he takes a niche role and not 97% of the snaps like he has his whole career.

Lmao! You really must not know Witten. Never once in his career has he ever did this. It's all about him. He's not teaching anyone anything. He looks out after himself and that's it. T.O. already spoke on that but many brushed it off because it was T.O. Martellus Bennett spoke on it as well. We have had young TE's behind Witten his whole time here and when did they ever develop? Never. Why? Because he takes all the reps in practice and game time.

This is a terrible move. It's the typical couple who gets back together because it's comfortable for each other.

TO is TO. Bennett’s out of the league. Escobar can’t hang in the AAF

Wow!!! I love Jason Witten, but do you think he has anything left in his tank? o_O
About as much as Charlie Waters!
Sad and someone said embarrassing...I agree with both. ESPN had to have read him the Riot Act.

I’m waiting with bated breath for Skip Bayless’s Twitter hot take. He’s either going to be completely jubilant or mad as hell, there will be no middle ground with this one.

I think he accepted the fact that he was not cut out for the broadcast booth and wants to get into coaching and this is an easy way in. He will serve as much in that capacity for the other TE's and will not have the role he had before playing 98% of the snaps. I also think they feel he helps address the red zone scoring issues that were a problem last season.

I know this pisses some off but I think it made a lot of the coaches and players on the team happy to know he's coming back. He is a solid unwavering rock on the team. I mean you didn't really think Booger's most favorite player of all time would not be returning someday, did you? Witten was his balance to Hardy, Gregory, McClain.
