Anyone own one or know someone that does. I have been eyeing one for a while. They are sale everywhere, $150 off. In Canada, everything is bought in the US $$$ and sold to us in Canadian $$$, so $150 is a big saving. I am not a sound snob, I just need something halfway decent to play my collection of CDs. I do like Bose. I have their wireless headphone and love, as well as a Bluetooth speaker. I live in a small place, so I need small. Any advice is appreciated. I can always return if I am dissatisfied. I gave my wife the cheap sony in the property division...lol

My advice, don't pronounce it the way you spelled it. ;)
Other than that, it's a Bose, so I'm sure the sound is incredible. Hell, if your place is that small, you could probably get away with something much cheaper....but if you have the money, go for it.

I have a Bose Wave that I've had for 10 years with CD player, a Bose Sound Dock that is great but doesn't have Bluetooth and needs an iPod and a Bose Sound Link III for streaming. That pic of yours is a later version of the Wave I have and it is excellent as long as you find the right position for it in the room and that takes some experimentation. I prefer the Sound Dock because I've loaded everything onto an iPod but since I began streaming Apple Music, I haven't bought a CD in 2 years and was going at a clip of 4-6 a month.

Can't beat Bose in some areas like these Sound Docks and their customer service is very good. Apple and Bose is the best I have found for customer service.

It does fill a room like no other and I think Apple ripped a bit of their technology with the HomePod. It sounds great for the size but Siri is a deaf woman with a speech impediment. I do like cussing at her because she responds with Language!!!! or I don't know how to respond to that. The other thing I do not like is that short TV ad that Apple has that goes "Hey Siri" sets her off and I have to yell at her to shut the hell up, she yells back "Language!!!!" and we end up in an argument and I have to go for a walk to calm down and clear my head. I get back, she just ignores me and I am not going to be the one to apologize!

At least she can't Lorena Bobbit you in your sleep, but I wouldn't ask her for any new recipes for a few days.

Great review, you answered the one big question, longevity...10 years, I want something that will be with me for a good while.

That's the beauty of not having a wife. I can spend frivolously every now and then.:laugh::laugh:

Unlike some companies, their name means something to them and their pride shows in how they handle a situation with a dissatisfied customer.

Every company must select one of these to be the what leads them, quality, price, convenience or service but no company can select all four for something must be sacrificed and for Bose, it is price. However, even a company not based on price must use that sometimes.

You would think Bezos would understand this better than anyone but after he bought Whole Foods, he dropped some prices and actually mentioned the name Walmart. He completely misunderstand the Whole Foods customer so once he realized his mistake, the prices went back up and he announces a whole new grocery store concept to compete with the Aldi and Walmart. And Whole Foods will remain about quality, not price.

I shop at both, Whole Foods and Walmart. I get my tree hugger and earth muffin fix at WF but then I must witness Walmart People up close and personal for my return to Earth and the real life.

But lukey, mi amigo, even that wears then after a while. I have no one to talk sense into me, I am left to fend for myself with frugal angel and spendthrift devil on each shoulder. I have been known just to turn my head 90 degrees to the devil and make direct eye contact and ignore the angel entirely. The devil wants me to be happy now, he's all into instant gratification.

Sounds like Bose and Apple have similar approaches...both sacrifice price, but have stellar customer service. I do not have whole foods.

I am usually frugal. But this is the best mini system available at a reasonable price point...

I went out today and picked it up. The last day of the sale. The salesman does not think a refresh is coming, he said sometimes these sales come from Bose themselves, that's why everybody has them on sale for the same discount. I'll set up later...just glad I can play my CDs again.

I've been wanting a Bose Acoustimass system since they first came out, but I just can't pull the trigger on something that expensive.
