Is this the last year of our Window?

The ideal time to make our run is/was while Dak's under his Rookie Contract.
We may be able to hold of until next year to have to give him a new deal but that will cause us to go cheap in other areas and possibly prevent us from re-signing others like those in the secondary who will be up for new contracts soon.
Having to give big contacts to Dak, Zeke, Cooper, and DLaw, along with the big money invested in the Oline, there won't be much to go around to re-sign others.
This makes it imperative that we hit on Draft picks to help lessen the need to give big contracts to those needing new deals in the near future.

Pat's window is huge........

Beginning of the window imo. As long as they retain the current free agents over the next couple of years then there will be a new cba, we may unfortunately see a strike. But afterwards the cap will jump up a huge amount.

Every team gonna have a 25 mil QB ...get used to it
None of the recent QBs to win a Super bowl have been making that kind of money...

Every team "gonna" eventually pay their QB but the true window is to have a decent team surrounding the QB and winning it on their rookie deal

Yep.

All 6 of the highest paid guys counted their millions while watching the playoffs last year. So there's that...

When I think of our beloved Cowboys, I always come back to this:

They'll do the same things and keep the same schemes, coaches, and players around, and expect different results.
If we just keep doing what we've always done, eventually we have to get a different result, right?

Me, looking for the window of a group of players who haven't sniffed a trophy. Until they do, it's imaginary.

It might be the last year of the Patriots window - Brady can't play forever.

Our window is open until our core leaves (which might be soon because we’re the nfl version of the Pittsburgh pirates)

Not at all.

But other teams are improving ... Eagles, Giants, Commanders (monster defense), Packers that could make it hard to go further in the playoffs.

What window?
For real. Window hasnt opened yet.

I would pay Dak 10 guaranteed. +5 for making playoffs +5 for winning a playoff game +5 for making it to SB +5 win the SB

$30m guaranteed if you are worth the goods. $10m if you are mediocre.

As currently constructed; FO, coaching staff, roster/depth, veteran core...2-3 years, tops.

Way too much money. He's not worth the cost of a Happy Meal.
