I hate that year after year we don't sign anyone of significance, while others seeming never get bit by the cap. HOWEVER, Jerry doesn't seem to be going for broke to save The Clapping Carrot's job....and how can that ever be a bad thing.

Cap hell was more myth than reality. There are multitudes of tools we could use to flex our cap spending but we have an empty toolbox to work with.

I have to agree.

Teams like the Skins, Eagles didn’t have much cap space. Yet still signing players

to your point, look at philly...supposedly, "in cap hell." Howie Roseman came out yesterday on fire with a plan. Sign like 3 guys and traded for another. THATS what an aggressive GM should be doing. Not sitting on our hands as if we have accomplished something the previous year...I AM SICK OF THIS CRAP.

Yep, Brandon Graham and Jason Peters resigned. Malik Jackson signed, DeSean Jackson traded for and keeping Nelson Agholor at 9 mil per year

Philly has a plan, they stick to it, every year and aren't afraid to make big moves. Complete opposite of what this team is.

I used to laugh at philly for winning free agency...untill it all came together and they won a SB. I don't like all their moves but I do like that they don't sit pat, they make moves in an attempt to get better we go the other way. They traded bennett for picks, then sign a DT to 10/yr and still get to draft a guy. That is an example of a move we won't even look at. Trade dlaw and sign/ draft a couple guys.

you hit the nail on the head. Philly is one of those teams that understand when its time to make a move, or rid themselves of a guy. THEY GET IT. All the winning teams do. The teams that cling to players beyond their usefulness fail. Love Dlaw, but me starting to think the writing is on the wall. May be the right time to part with him and sell high if you will. Sign him to the tag, TRADE HIM. Hate it because he is a good guy, but his agent is dooming this entire process to failure. Just find a trade partner and get everything you can and move on.

the entire outlook on the season can change on a dime if we fix the interior dline NOW and sign ET. JUST 2 SCANT MOVES.

The difference is one is truly a GM and the other is just an ego driven self appointed GM that can't be fired.

:lmao:ok...what makes you so sure? Any news?

Unless the Bears who just let Amos walk are all of a sudden interested, then I don't see anything to worry about. The 49er's need a safety but they haven't even contacted ET. Their GM was a safety too so I would think they would know how to draft one. If they were going after ET believe me, they wouldn't let Sherman say a thing to drive his price up.

Yep
I didn’t expect 5 new big name players
But I did expect a couple and I expected tank to get done
Do far we’ve signed a TE I’ve never heard of and some 3rd string Dline guys
