HUGE news. Shows he isn’t as mad at the team as was to be believed.

Of course he is mad but he is a leader and a good guy. If I am advising him I would have told him to do this. It puts pressure on the idiots that have ruined this franchise. They need to sign the guy so they can clear up cap space and make the other changes to improve the team. A 2 or 3 round pick is not going to do it.

The arrogance of this ownership is beyond maddening.

Actually pretty dumb on his part. He's not guaranteed anything since he hasn't signed the tag. So the argument of, I dont want to play on the tag and get hurt and miss out on a big pay day doesn't make sense if he's going to workouts with a messed up shoulder when he hasn't signed the tag.

Actually I get the opposite impression. This tells me a deal is probably close to getting done. Not long ago D-Law was ranting about disrespect and now he shows up for this.

Maybe Lawrence is going to be announced as our "big signing" pretty soon. And even though he was already a Cowboy, Dallas would "get" the number one free agent of 2019.

Spoken like a true Jerry fanboy. This deal should have been done months ago so you can come into FA with a plan. In theory shouldn’t your Big Signing improve the team?

Maybe the shoulder issue is more minor than some thought. Which wouldn't be good considering many are hopeful that was why he disappeared for the second half of the season.

The dude is and always has been a grinder, never shy about showing up and putting the work in. Just pay the man. It's not his fault the F.O. sat on their hands last year and failed to get a deal done. His value is not going to go down and now he is showing that he is a true leader on the team. Get er done, Jethro.

I'm not a Jerry fanboy.

I agree the deal should have been done long ago. I was just trying to be positive about the situation because I think we all agree the Cowboys are better with Lawrence than they would be without him.

The fact Lawrence showed up for these workouts can be taken as a good sign. Maybe I'm just too optimistic for this forum.

I am thinking that he will sign a deal close to Mack and Donald’s deals

6/129,000,000
79 million guaranteed
31 million signing bonus
Avg 21.5 million

2019 5,000,000. 6.2 pro
2020 7,000,000. 6.2 pro
2021 9,000,000. 6.2 pro. 500,000 roster
2022 12,000,000 6.2 pro 1,000,000 roster
2023. 13,500,000 6.2 pro
2024 18,000,000 7,000,000 march 15 roster
2025 20,000,000. 5,000,000 March 15 roster

Leaves them wiggle room early on to do some other big contracts

He wasn't in attendance at earlier workouts. Participants were witten, lee, dak and zeke. Bodes well that he is now showing up.

If I'm Lawrence I sign the franchise tag and then demand a trade.
I think he wants to be here and wants to get paid
We aren’t signing him for 17 mil or so
But if his demands are unreasonable then trade him
I’m ready to get it done one way or the other
Pay him or trade him

It would be easy to judge if you knew what was offered and what was ask
If we are low balling him then that’s on the franchise
If he’s wanting the highest contract at his position then I wouldn’t blame them one bit for saying no

Then trade him. Every day this drags on his trade value diminishes. They tagged him last year knowing they would have to do something. He called their bluff by playing well and staying healthy again. This FO has no plan.

Again
You are assuming
You don’t know if they are lowballing him or if he’s being unreasonable
Their plan is to sign him
