Teams don't bring in players for a visit without knowing what their asking price is otherwise they'd waste a lot of time visiting with players they have no hope in signing. Cobb and Geathers are there because the negotiations have progressed to that point.
Guessing they get a physical from the team doctors and things like that.

Xavier Woods is a true FS. The again, according to this place "ball hawking" FS are the only true FS and they apparently grow on trees.

Also "ball hawking" and picks are mostly about reads and anticipation. Woods was in his first season as a starter, next year he will be more experienced and more comfortable in the system, which means his reads and anticipation will improve.

Would like to see them sign both Cobb and Geathers today just wondering if they will. Sure they already know what the price will be on both. IF they sign both of them then almost sure that the draft will be DL on the first two picks unless some miracle happens and a Hockinson or Thompson or Simmons fall to 58.

It’s usually a good sign when players visit. Teams just sign guys without visiting

So imagine they are getting physicals and honest offers lol

I love how the Bahamas trip and the Errol Spence fight had priority over bringing FA's to the Star. We get involved with this process almost a week after the official new league year begins.

Typical Jones nonsense.
Makes sense to me. I like staying away from those gawdy contracts in FA. Setting ourselves up in better shape for the draft. Only big pick I thought might come to Dallas was ET, but that was just too much money. BPA at 58 (hoping its DL personally)

0 career INTs. I have no idea why we don't look at Tre Boston. Yes he misses some tackles, but he's pretty good in coverage. I know the Cowboys like players that can tackle, but Heath missed 22, while Boston missed 12 last year.

True...Stephen Jones during free agency is the alligator in the GEICO commercial that couldn't reach the bill at the office lunch. Arms get too short to reach his wallet.
That's a funny analogy to SJ, but I like it!

The same can be said of players and their agents. They aren't going to waste their time meeting with teams not even in their ballpark. Cobb and Geathers are there because the negotiations have progressed to that point.

I gotta agree. A guy actually at the building to me means a deal has been in principle struck already... Dr. stuff is most likely.

Yeah I see a lot of people in that other thread kind of dogging Woods but it was his first year starting and he played well IMO.

The fact that that Colts supposedly love him, yet won't risk signing him back when they have a ton of cap space to burn is a little concerning.

My order of preference has been Iloka, Boston then Geathers.
