He runs like a TE now. Another year older. Had another season of injuries.

I have no idea why this place is excited about him - watch this 75 yard TD run - if it wasn't due to bad palycalling by the Bears D, this would have not been a TD. Dude is SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW.

Faster than Beasley

Faster than Beasley

Beasley is a player that was quick out of his breaks - there is a good reason Cobb hasn't lived up to expectations despite playing with Rodgers.

Another player that will get talked up like he's a future HOF, despite everyone knowing he's about done.

If Cobb can do what Beasley did on 3rd downs id be happy.

Cole was clutch on those 3rd and anything.

Gallup should continue to improve and be a legit #2.

I don’t hate this. Just hope Cobb can be clutch like Beasley was and I believe he will be

I'm more than convinced now that the Jones family was on vacation for the last week and a half. Not a peep, then all of a sudden things start happening.

no way can Cobb run the routes as good as Beez. Cobb was just more of a physical player...and MAYBE a better red zone weapon . Cobb would be a nice signing for the slot or special teams as a returner. I still think we better draft Beasley' s replacement. Hunter Renfrow just makes sense in round 4 or 5.Cobb would be a short term bridge player.

I like it, Cobb was always the guy I wanted if we couldn't get Golden Tate. (Technicall third after Humphries but I never thought he was a real target).

The other factor on this is you can cut Allen Hurns in the last day of camp and you don't owe him a dime. So you can let Hurns compete for a roster spot - or serve as insurance if one of the others gets injured - without any real financial commitment. He only gets paid if he is on the team, and you have all of training camp to see if that happens.
Yep. He may have a hard time after that nasty injury...

You guys are locked into this one-dimensional short white-guy prototype, huh?

lol...nah...but we do need a nasty route runner, which Cobb isn't from the slot. Now, MAYBE we are looking at him to play on special teams as a returner? He has maybe 1 or 2 years left in the league and is only a stop gap role player.

Significantly better player than Beasley when healthy. It looks like he tweaked his hamsting last year then tried to rush back too quickly and re-tweaked it so that's a big part of why he wasn't very good last year.
Hard to be very explosive when you're hobbling around.

If Cobb's right, and signs, we aren't sweating Beasley

Cobb has been a better WR his entire career than Cole Beasley.
in general yes. But purely speaking as a slot guy...he isn't that great these days. But I sure like the idea of bringing him in. Better than trying to throw a rookie in here feeding them to the lions lol.

Up until last year when he had injured hamsting Cobb's numbers were - at worst - on par with Beasley's best. Mostly from the slot, I believe.

With Cobb we can move him to the outside and have Cooper in the slot, though. Give us more options, which I like.

I agree.

I feel Geathers will go back and sign in indy for cheap
The Colts have already expressed the idea they want him back. He could take whatever Dallas might over back to them and they can easily match with the cap room they have.
