Unless we are SB faves, easy on short-term FA signings

I spent today in a William Hill sports book (cleared $500 on March Madness bets) and saw the Browns are 15:1 to win the SB.

The Cowboys are 18:1.

Blokes and assorted rabble of the Metroplex and the Ozarks, why would we burden ourselves with expensive, quick fixes in , short-term FA for a so-so 2019 season?
The cap is finite, yes?
No, a thousand times no. ButLet scouting give us the young gems we can groom, ruffians of the gridiron!

You want expensive quick-fix FAs? This is no championship season, though we can dream of a Clemson QB in 2 years.
Fear the Cap!

Many unfortunate souls are going to answer your OP as if you were asking a serious question.

As usual, presumptuous, pretentious and devoid of thought, you are. Keep it up, lout.
And no one sought "answers" but discussion is welcome, Mother Superior Walker.

Franks for the tailgate are on you then. If only proving we were better than Cleveland was all we had to do to win a SB. Sadly, there are 30 other teams in the mix. That said, I wouldn't rule out or dislike a Cowboys /Browns SB.

Jerry and Stephen wouldnt know a franchise QB if he fell into thier lap. If those clowns had the chance to draft Trevor Lawrence they would probably draft another RB to give Dak.

Fear the Cap!

If a player works out, they may offer another contract.

Most of these guys are FA for a reason.

The draft is where the long term starters are found.

I couldn't agree more. Free agents in my opinion, are for the team that are one or two players from making it to the Superbowl.

How many years do the preseason favorites actually win the Superbowls? How good are the best odds?
Vegas is pretty right on about the odds. I'm not sure about the actual numbers. But I'm sure it's a winning percentage for them

I’ll take the Clemson qb now
If he could come out he’d go first
We could blow it up and join the race of teams tanking the year he comes out
He’s probably the best prospect since luck and by the time he comes out could be even better

Lol theres not 30 other teams in the mix. Theres rarely more than 15 a year.

99% of the time you can pick 10-12 teams before the season and 1 will win the sb. The NFL isnt hard to predict.

Andrew Luck was an interception machine when he first came out. Let's hope he's better. But like I said before from the first snap to the last snap everything else in between is called football. I'll take Prescott right now when the game is on the line

They are top five now if they resign Dlaw and add Quinn.
You need a nap.

I was talking about as a prospect coming out
Luck was the top prospect since manning
This kid could be highest in a lifetime if he continues to grow as a player
Dak is our QB and while this kid could be a great player the odds of getting him are slim
Dak is not as talented but we can win with Dak
